The access must be constructed at a location which provides an unobstructed view of the road involved for a sight distance of no less than 180 meters unless otherwise specified, and meet the conditions of the current Land Use Bylaw. 2. The travelable surface of the access shall not be less than 8.6 meters in width when entering on a road, nor greater than 6% gradient unless otherwise specified (refer to Engineering Standards); a minimum 3:1 side slope shall apply. 3. If the access will obstruct the flow of water, a culvert of not less than 500mm (20 inches) in diameter must be installed, or larger if conditions warrant. (see #8) 4. Access shall be constructed in accordance with Policy 13-15, Schedule “A”. 5. The access shall be surfaced with gravel (unless otherwise specified): _____________________________ 6. The grantee shall indemnify and save harmless Kneehill County from and against all loss, costs, charges, damages and expenses which Kneehill County may suffer or sustain as a result of the construction of the access; 8. Please use the above square to represent the quarter section where the approach is proposed or exists. Include all existing approaches as well. Draw your parcel and show the dimensions. If this approach is being placed as a result of a subdivision, you may include a copy of the tentative plan with the purposed locations of the access (es)/approach (es) clearly indicated. 2. The most important piece of information is the “access” or “approach” location off of the municipal road. Please indicate with an accurate measurement (in meters or feet) the distance from a known location, such as an intersection or quarter line, to the approach. Indicate direction and side of road. 3. Measurements must be recorded in either meters or feet. (Other units will not be accepted) 4. Clearly label all roads. 5. Applications which are unsatisfactory will be returned to the applicant for resubmission. 6. The County holds no responsibility for meeting deadlines for Conditions laid out in a Subdivision or Development Permit.
