MUNICIPAL DISTRICT OF MILL #48 IN THE PROVINCE OF ALBERTA
BY-LAW NUMBER 1067
THIS BEING A BY-LAW TO AMEND BY-LAW NUMBER 692, (TROCHU RECREATION AREA-
SWIMMING POOL FACILITY)
Whereas By-Law Number 692 was passed to establish the Trochu
Recreation Area and approve participation in funding and maintenance
for the Trochu Swimming Pool.
AND Whereas the mill rate approved for levying taxes
in the Trochu Recreation Area was set at 2 mills.
AND WHEREAS since that time the Municipal District
has completed a general assessment which has increased the overall
assessment of the Municipal District.
AND WHEREAS it is now necessary to revise the mill rate
downwards from 2 mills due to the large increase in the assessment
of the land and improvements in the M.D.
NOW THEREFORE The Council of the Municipal District of
Kneehill #48 enacts as follows:
1. By-Law Number 692 is hereby amended as follows:
Paragraph 7 (c) is deleted and replaced with the following
paragraph:
7 (c) - The Debt shall be recovered from the Rural Area by
a special levy of 0.235 of a mill per year on all
property subject to taxation for Municipal purposes within
that area, which the change in the mill rate to be effective
for the 1985 taxation year.
2. All other portions of the said by-law are hereby confirmed.
Councillor Hastie moved first reading to this by-law.
CARRIED
Councillor Campbell moved second reading to this by-law.
CARRIED
Councillor Boake moved that third reading be given to this
by-law at this time.
