Adj ourn 0 • SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES KNEEHILL COUNTY COUNCIL KNEEHILL COUNTY OFFICE August 22, 2005 PURPOSE: To discuss roads with Trident Oil 0 PRESENT: Division No. 4 Division No. 5 PRESENT Division No. 1 Division No. 2 Division No. 3 Division No. 6 Division No. 7 Murray Woods, Reeve Vern Crawford, Deputy Reeve Brian Holsworth, Councillor Carol Calhoun, Councillor Jerry Wittstock, Councillor Ken Hoppins, Councillor (after 9:05 A.M.) Ken Knievel, Councillor ADMINISTRATION PRESENT; CAO Gene Kiviaho Operations Director Rob Mayhew Bridge Inspector Henry Wiens Data Entry Clerk Donna MacTavish Recording Secretary: Barb Long • INTERESTED Dallas Rosevear and Val Bryan, from Trident Exploration Corporation, PARTIES were also in attendance. CALL TO CALL TO ORDER: The Reeve called the meeting to order at 8:40 A.M. ORDER and introductions were made. TRIDENT PRESENTATION BY TRIDENT Mr. Rosevear requested Council approve the placement of a gas pipeline diagonally across the intersection of one of the County's gravel roads, to avoid re-routing approximately 2.5 to 3 miles, in order to circumvent two quarters of land where permission to cross has been denied by the landowner. 456/05 Councillor Holsworth moved the meeting go in camera. CARRIED Time: 9:00 A.M. Mr. Rosevear and Ms. Bryan left the meeting at this time. • 457/05 Councillor Calhoun moved the meeting back in session. Time: 9:23 A.M. 458/05 Councillor Calhoun moved that Council allow the pipeline crossing, as 4WI ~ presented by Trident Exploration, subject to written confirmation from the landowner advising access to their land has been denied. CARRIED Councillor Crawford moved that Administration revise Item #6(k) in the 459/05 Kneehill County Road Crossing Agreement for High Pressure Pipelines, to address Council's concerns that any digging required for boring pipe under the County road allowances, be conducted outside the road allowance. CARRIED • Mr. Rosevear and Ms. Bryan entered the meeting at 9:30 A.M., and were , advised of Council's decision. Mr. Rosevear thanked Council for their cooperation in arranging for a Special Meeting to hear this request.
