CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY COMMUNITY 5.0 Community Services SERVICES PLANNING 5.1 Planning 5.1.1 Subdivision Extension: KNE220179 174/23 Councillor McGhee moved that Council move to grant a 1-year extension to KN-220179 until May 27, 2024. CARRIED L)NANIMOI PSLY 5A.2 Subdivision Extension: KNE220180 175/23 Councillor Cunningham moved that Council move to grant a 1-year extension to KNE220180 until June 24, 2024. ft"I 1114 1114 111 DMIMR1►lU• _ 1 AG SERVICES 5.2 Amricultural Service Board and Parks 5.2.1 ASB Weed and Pest Inspector Appointments 176/23 Deputy Reeve King moved that Council appoints, for the term of their employment with Kneehill County, Melanie Vergara,William Hoppins, Kaden Johnson, Danielle Varga and Peyton Johnson as Weed and Pest Inspectors and Soil Conservation Officers for Kneehill County under the Alberta Weed Control, Soil Conservation, and Agricultural Pest Acts. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 5.2.2 Agriculture Service Board 2023-2025 Business Plan 177/23 Councillor Christie moved that Council adopts the Agricultural Service Board 2023-2025 Business Plan as recommended by the Agricultural Service Board. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 5.2.3 Growing Kneehill Event 178/23 Councillor McGhee moved that Council approves Option 1 as indicated in the report with an increase of $22,200 in the Ag Services Budget for the hiring of a private event contractor to aid in the delivery of the Growing Kneehill Long Table Dinner and Country Market, to be funded from the operating budget to be offset from the Agricultural Service Board grant. CORPORATE SERV 6.0 Corporate Services 6.1 1 79/23 Deputy Reeve King moved that Council give first reading to Bylaw #1884, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Tax Rates. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 180/23 Councillor Christie moved that Council give second reading to Bylaw #1884, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Tax Rates. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 181 /23 Councillor McGhee moved that Council give consideration to hold third reading to Bylaw 41884, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Tax Rates. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 182/23 Councillor Penner moved that Council give third reading to Bylaw #1884, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Tax Rates. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 6.2 2023 Trochu Recreation Area Special Tax Bvlaw 183/23 Councillor Penner moved that Council give first reading to Bylaw #1885, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Trochu Recreation Area Special Tax. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 184/23 Councillor Cunningham moved that Council give second reading to Bylaw # 1885, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Trochu Recreation Area Special Tax. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 185123 Councillor Fobes moved that Council give consideration to hold third reading to Bylaw # 1885, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Trochu Recreation Area Special Tax. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 186/23 Deputy Reeve King moved that Council give third reading to Bylaw #1885, that being a bylaw for the 2023 Trochu Recreation Area Special Tax. 3 Initials COUNCIL MINUTES OF MAY 9, 2023 6.3 Policy Review —16-17 Acceptable Methods of Payment 187123 Deputy Reeve King moved that Council approve the amendments to the Acceptable Methods of Payment Policy, as presented. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY NEW BUSINESS 7.0 New and Unfinished Business 7.1 Procurement Policy 188/23 Councillor McGhee moved that Council approves in principle the new Procurement Policy, as presented. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY COUNCIL REPORTS 9.0 Council and Committee Reports 9.1 Aqua 7 — Reeve Jerry Wittstock provided verbal report. 9.2 Community Futures — Councillor Wade Christie provided a verbal report. 9.3 Police Advisory Committee — Councillor Cunningham presented a verbal report. 189/23 Councillor Christie moved that Council receive the Council and Committee reports for information, as presented. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY COUNCIL ACT LIST 10.0 Council Follow -Up Action List 190123 Councillor Cumungham moved that Council receive for information the Council Follow -Up Action List as presented. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY Recess called at 10:42 am and reconvened at 10:52 am with all previously mentioned members present. CLOSED SESSION 11.0 Closed Session 191123 Councillor Christie moved that Council convene in Closed Session to discuss Personnel pursuant to Section 17 of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act, at 10:54 am. CARRIED UNANIMOUSLY 192123 Deputy Reeve King moved that Council return to open meeting at 11:30 am.
