Mayhew Operations Director Dear Mr Mayhew 4505 1 2 P8 37 PFRA 600 138 4' Avenue S.E Calgary Alberta T2G 4Z6 February 27, 2004 Re Prairie Grain Roads Program (PGRP)= Linden Road West - Paving On behalf of the Agreement Management Committee I am pleased to inform you that your project was approved for assistance under the Prairie Grain Roads Program (PGRP) on February 24,2004 Expenditures incurred after February 24,2004 are eligible for assistance Detailed project information has been outlined on the attached Approved Project Information sheet Please'review this document to ensure that the conditions of approval are clear The federal funding will be provided through a contribution agreement between your County and the Government of Canada, as represented by Prairie Farm Rehabilitation Administration (PFRA) A PFRA representative will be contacting you in the near future to process the contribution agreement Unless noted otherwise it is in order for the competitive process to proceed as outlined on the attached Approved Project Information sheet. Please be advised that one of the conditions of this agreement will be that all projects must be awarded by an approved competitive process Federal funding will be forfeited if the competitive process is not followed The County will be responsible for all regulatory approvals required to proceed with the project As there is a federal funding allocated to the project, it is a requirement to abide by the Canadian Environniental Assessnient Act (CEA,4) In order to minimize any potential funding delays, we encourage you to discuss any implications which result from the CEAA with your consulting engineer or PFRA representative as soon as possible If you have any questions about the evaluation or approval process, please feel free to contact the undersigned at (403) 292 5720 Sincef y, w Cameron ;:y t PFRA Calgary cc PFRA Information Centre Attachments i `•.'
