Members of Trochu Town Council
From Mac deBeaudrap, ESMC
Date- March 1 2004
Issue
Firefighter recognition and the Alberta Emergency Services Medals Ceremony
Background
On April 30th, 2004, there will be 47 Kneehill Regional Firefighters and 6 Kneehill
Ambulance personnel receiving the Alberta. Emergency Services Medal Arrangements
are being made to have them presented in Trochu by the MLA The days activities will
prove to be a very classy event
Discussion
It has been decided to hold the event at the Trochu Community hall as that location will
hold the 150 plus people expected to attend and the fact that the majority of the
firefighters receiving the award are from the communities of Trochu and Torrington.
I would like to request that the Town of Trochu support this special event by contributing
towards the hall rental for the day There will be 18 Firefighters from Trochu receiving
awards at this ceremony
Financial Implications
The reception hall
Recommendation
That Council contribute towards the cost of the Hall rental for the awards ceremony
