Background
At the January 13, 2004 Council Meeting, discussion regarding the March 19 2004
RMRF Annual Municipal Law Seminar was deferred pending receipt of an agenda for
the seminar
Discussion
On February 2, 2004 an agenda was faxed to the County Office along with a request to
register those interested in attending prior to Monday, March 1, 2004 The seminar will
be held on Friday March 19`h at the Edmonton Petroleum Club, 1110 —108 Street from
8 00 AN —5 30 P M Copies of the agenda have been attached for your review
Financial Implications
Registration — no cost
Remuneration for hotel rooms, mileage, and meals

Recreation Policies #15 4, #15 5, and #15 6
Background
At the January 13, 2004 Council Meeting the following motion was tabled until the
February 10 2004 Council Meeting
Councillor Woods moved that Recreation Policies #15 4, #15 5, and #15 6, be
amended to include the following Anyone receiving funding from Kneehill County
under this policy agrees that charges or costs to Kneehill County residents will not exceed
those charges or costs applied to any non Kneehill County resident, including any
refunds or rebates offered "
At the January 29 2004 Committee of the Whole meeting a tentative schedule for policy
development was presented, with Recreation and Culture policy scheduled for roundtable
discussion at the May 2004 Committee of the Whole meeting
Recommendation
That Council table this motion until after the May 2004 Committee of the Whole
meeting

Issue.
Request for donation to assist with `Encounters with Canada" trip
Background
A letter has been received from Lame Watson a Senior High student at the Three Hills
High School, for a donation to help offset the costs to participate in the Encounters with
Canada trip (A copy of the letter has been attached for your information)
Discussion
Mr Watson noted that the Encounters with Canada program looks for students who excel
in the classroom and the school community, and that this trip will provide a learning
experience of a lifetime During this trip he will be touring important government
institutions and learning about Social Sciences within Canada
