a May 26/00 Letter re Alberta Blue Cross Ambulance Rate Increase
Effective April 1 2000 ambulance services receive a rate increase of 3% on the base
rate and 4% on the distance rate for services paid by government for seniors, widows
and low income Albertans

Letter from Brian Marcotte, Executive Director, stating provincial highway
maintenance will be delivered by the private sector through large geographic based
contracts The County is welcome to negotiate with the successful contractor
regarding sub contracting a portion of the work Municipalities will be informed of
significant changes in policy regarding delivery of provincial highway maintenance

Includes girder /scour repairs, installation of approach rail and continues use of the

• 4 on SH 575 north of Acme Detailed analysis of the site has indicated that the
existing culvert is hydraulically inadequate to accommodate fisheries concern Site -- limtoo
specific drawings are required for environmental approval where channel
modifications take place Additional funds requested are $3,000 for `P' drawings for +
environmental approval, and $1,500 upset cost for a fish habitat assessment, due to tI--
channel mitigation, total of $4 500

onto these secondaries AB Infrastructure will only be allowing one per quarter, so
some subdivisions will be required to go through more hoops to obtain access
With Development Setbacks AB Infrastructure will require 30M (98 43') from
property line In this case our bylaw would require 135 We require 100' off a gravel
road so the County needs to decide which to go with Most of the rest is the same as
for primary highways

Wheatland, but Kneehill will own the vehicle, which will stay at the County office
to be shared with the planning department
