i
that need to be addressed in supporting the expansion of the livestock industry in
Alberta The study is regional in scale so cannot deal with specific sites and situations
The smallest unit of analysis is the census division which typically includes three to five
municipalities The study is not an environmental impact assessment Five growth
scenarios were examined in the study The study does suggest there can be expansion
ti17
of the livestock sector in most areas of the province without affecting the environment
,
if good management practices are used by the operators However the study does
suggest that water quality may be impacted in the Banff Jasper, Rocky Mountain
House, Edson Red
