Transportation and Utilities Report March 22, 1999
1 Some of the graders will start blading roads lightly this week The big run off in the south is done and the north country is
just starting.
2 For council information I have negotiated better deals on the equipment we are going to trade B} selling this equipment on
commission we increased our trade value on the 627 by $34 000 and the 815 by $9000
3 The road crew foreman is out and about getting land agreements and talking to land owners for the up coining projects The ;�Ape
Hazel protect has 2.5 miles left to do and already we have a request from Mr Harold Ba} es He.would. like the curve on the
south end of the dirt road from his place to be widened for sight vision Lawrie told me it wouldn't be that big of a deal to
do, and maybe Harold would get out of lus hair
4 The gravel crew is still lkluling out of Bauers to 21 and'27 Another point of information for council is. that in talking with
Kurt Bauer they are trying to secure a pit over by Sundre and he was wondering if we would be�interested I told lum were
always interested in gravel sources and once there is.more info to get ahold of me
5 We need to have another road committee this week if possible. I d like to have a capital meeting also.
6 A wire line service out of Red Deer would like to borrow one of our roads for a day so tile%. can string wire thorough some
