The Road Committee of Kneehtll County met on Thursday February 11 1999 commencing at 8:45 a.m
The following were present

The following roads /requests were inspected
1__,NE 15 34 -26 W4 REQUEST FROM ULSTER PETROLEUM TO USE EXISTING APPROACH
Road Committee recommends permission be given to use existing approach
2 NE 27 29 26 W4 REQUEST FROM PRICE FOR COUNTY TO PAY FOR PORTION OF FEED
LOT ROAD
Road Committee recommends County pay for road as per agreement ($15,000)
Road Committee visually checked on Schmautz pit
I CommttteL saw farmer spraying manurt, on snow Referred to L.Schnuelc who advised had
ved another complaint of H Wicbe spraying manure on snow
Road Committee adjourned at 12:00 p.m

SAFETY MEETING MINUTES
THURSDAY FEBRUARY 11 1999
A meeting of the Kneelidl County Safety Committee was held on Thursday February 11 199 commencii
at 11 30 a.m The following were present
Marjorie Vetter
Jane Allan
Glen Wagstaff
Lonnie McCook
Miles Maerz
Doug Knapp
Barb Long
Councillor Division #4
Councillor Division #3
Councillor Division 1#7
Public Works Superintendent
Gravel Foreman
Shop Representative
Recorded the minutes
Mr McCook reviewed the minutes from the February 2 1998 meeting
It was noted by Doug Knapp that safe zones designated by painted lines had been installed at the shop ar
that a sign had been posted stating "enter at your own risk'
Mr McCook advised that each grader operator has his own safety book and it is his responsibility to keep
it updated
Mr McCook also advised that H & A had completed their yearly, fire extinguisher inspection and
certification
The Safety Audit was then reviewed Mr McCook noted that not much had changed in [lie last two years
Improvement is still needed on interviews with the outside staff and with the documentation of such
Mr Maerz advised that an internal audit has to be completed by November 30 1999
Mr McCook noted that evacuation routes and designated areas to meet need to be developed and posted b
front doors Mrs Lori Wildeman will develop a plan for the main office and Mr Doug Knapp for the shop
Mr McCook asked for input on subject material for Employee Day Mr Maerz will check with H S A
regarding a demonstration on the proper ust of fire extinguishers A defensive driving course will also be
looked into by Mr McCook and Mr Maerz Mr McCook would also like to see an air brake refresher
course offered
Mr Knapp voiced concern regarding the seasonal workers lack of knowledge in loading trailers Mr
McCook will pass this information on to Mr Wiens
Mr Knapp would like to have CPR mouth guards purchased for each truck and first aid kit and Mr
Wagstaff suggested latex gloves also be added to the first aid kits
Mr Maerz will look into purchasing the above items
Mr McCook reviewed the incident and injury report for 1998
Mr.McCook adjourned the meeting at 1210 p.m
