The Road Committee of the M.D of Kneehill met on Friday July 11 1997 commencing at
8.35 a.m
The following were present

Recorded the Minutes
The following roads /requests were inspected
1 Request from Harold Bayes that the dirt road should be upgraded due to school bus . -0,,,dw
traffic and safety concerns at W 15- 32 -25 -W4
Road Committee recommend that a letter be sent to Mr Bays stating that the road will not
be upgraded since it is currently wide enough for a dirt road
2 Paulson Stockpile Site at NE 12- 33 -25 -W4

Road Committee recommend the M D continue to pay for one more year in order to
complete reclamation.
3 Arthurville Stockpile Site at SW 6- 34 -24 -W4 L��rEe� ASP
Road Committee recommend okay to write off �°0Js
4 Arthurville Protect South of 6, 5, 4, 3 34 -24 W4
Road Committee recommend Mr .Ieffrey contact Canada Post regarding other possibilities,-
for mailbox placement Okay to write off (4 miles)
5 Request from Rick Vickery for all weather road at W29 & 32- 33 -24 -W4

Road Committee recommend screenings be put down on these two miles and a request be
put in to Crest Star Energy for cost sharing on hauling the screenings.
6 Huxley Hamlet - request for signage at the water truck route
Road Committee recommend okay for Public Works Superintendent to sign the route
accordingly to stop unwanted traffic
7 Request from Bob Painter for the removal of trees in the ditch to widen the road at
W 19 -34 -22 W4
Road Committee recommend leai,e the road as is since the trees really do not interfere with
traffic
8 Allied Land requested permission to construct an approach 15m wide onto
Secondary Road 585 at SE 18 33 -22 W4 The approach has already been constructed
Road Committee recommend that a letter be forwarded to the oil company explaining that
permission is required prior to construction and that the appropriate signs should be
placed along the road at their expense (trucks turning, etc.)

9 Wimborne Hamlet - Hugo Rubanski filed a complaint regarding Mrs Reir's lot His
concern is that the lot is not being mowed
Road Committee recommend that a letter be fonvarded to Mrs Reir requesting that she
find someone to mow the lot for her A letter should also he forwarded to Mr Rubanski
explaining that the dumping station is not availahle for him to park his recreational
vehicle at thereby restricting access to other potential users.
10. Holsworth Stockpile Site at SE 5- 30 -22 -W4

Road Committee recommend that stockpile reclamation is complete and no more ►mss
payments be made for this site. A"a
11 Request from Dave Ewing for access onto his quarter at NW 32- 28 -22 -W4 and road Pte°
allowance development along same
Road Committee recommend that the M D can provide and access to the quarter, but will
not develop the road allowance into the quarter as it is through a coulee, a letter be sent to
Mr Ewing advising of this decision and copy of same to Division #1 Councillor, Mrs.
Lowen.
12 Hesketh Hill Slide at SE 12 29 22 -W4
Road was rebuilt after undermining occurred

Concern was raised that the road was
Road Committee recommend that the road is fine as is.
13 Request by Mr & Mrs Russ Evans to develop the road allowance into NW 7 -29- ��Ax

Road Committee recommend the M.D. do a grade blade on the road allowance, W of SW 4 -"Alt
18- 29- 21 -W4, but likely not this year The road allowance should not be rough bladed, ."r
but rather left in grass.

Road Committee recommend continue paying on the pit for one more year to complete
reclamation
15 Request by Chris Lowen to gravel the access road into the quarter at
W 3 -29 -21 W4 _� H fs -�,►z„t��a
Road Committee recommend the access road to the property is sufficient as is since any
access beyond the road allowance will not be upgraded anyway Request denied
16 Request by Anthony Andrews to have an access road built up at SE 10- 29 -23 -W4
Road Committee recommend okay to blade grade the road allowance although the site
should be surveyed prior to find out exactly where the road allowance should be. Letter to ,y
be sent to Mr Andreivs advising this will be done, as time permits
17 Newly paved portion of Secondary Road 836 through the Village of Carbon

Road Committee recommend that a letter be sent to the Village of Carbon regarding the
painting of lines on the new pavement.

18. Met Elizabeth Brooks on site ( SE 25 29 -26 -W4 ) regarding her request to have two
approaches built onto this quarter The cemetery is expanding so the present approach
will no longer provide access
Road Committee recommend that due to an acreage subdivision dividing the quarter, the
approach request he granted
19 Request by Mike Keim for an approach into NE 4 29 26 -W4
Road Committee recommend that Mr Keim flag the spot where he wishes to have an
approach built and then the M D. can contact the grader operator in the area to construct sir
the approach A letter stating the above should be sent to Mr Keim.
20 Complaint by Mike Keim that the grader destroyed his fence this winter and he
would like the M.D to replace the fence Z--T�
Road Committee recommend that the MD not take any responsibility for the fence which
seems to be in disrepair anyway
