FEBRUARY 12t') 1997
The Capital Committee of Glen Wagstaff, Rick Vickery, Jim Hanger and Lonnie McCook met on
Tuesday, February 11`x', 1997 at the M.D of Kneehill offices commencing at 1 15 P M
Mr McCook recorded the minutes of the meeting
Mr McCook presented the Committee with the minutes from the last meeting along with some revise
estimates on a long list of capital
The Committee reviewed the capital requirements of the Utilities and Development Department as
follows
1 Half ton extended cab $20,000 00
The Committee felt that the suburban truck is an adequate vehicle for tools and doing water runs
along with the other duties it is performing
2 Hamlet Street Signs $5 217 00
The Committee recommended that no street signs be purchased at this time because with the size
the hamlets it is not a real problem locating anyone
3 GPS Locator for Water lines and Manholes $800 00
The Committee recommended that we need not purchase any GPS at this time with other potentia
possibilities of the GPS that are coming forth
4 Telephone upgrade office fax, modem voice mail $10,000 00
The Committee recommended nothing be done with these items at this time
Mr Bob Vogt, a sales representative from Peterbilt Trucks entered the meeting A discussion took
place on Peterbilt trucks and a sales presentation was given
The Committee then went onto the capital list presented by Mr McCook and discussed half tons and
need to purchase a steamer for culverts The Committee all agreed Mr McCook purchase the steame
right away, for the thaw as we need to start moving on this stuff
A discussion followed between Mr Wagstaff and Mr Vickery on the service board and trucks and w
is needed There was no real agreement or recommendation on anything at this time A discussion
occurred about moving T 11 90 down to pull the trailer with the lawn mowers and paying Art mileag
instead of getting another vehicle
The Committee meeting ended at 4 10 P M with an agreement to come back and finish up after the
divisionals
