Road Coinnttttee Report - August 7`fi, 1996
The Road Committee of the M.D of Kneehill met on Wednesday, August 7, 1996 commencing at 8:25
a.m.
The following were present

Recorded the Minutes
The following roads were inspected and recommendations made
1 Bridge on SR 575 N.E 23- 29 -21 -4
Mrs. Lowen wanted to inform the road committee of a bump on the westbound lane just going
onto the bridge. No recommendations were made. jam P
2 Dresser Project West of 17 & 20 in 28 -33 -4
The road committee inspected this two mile project.
Road Committee recommends this two mile project be written off

3. S.E.16 29 -23 -4 High Calibre /Dave Stewart access
There has been a concern regarding access to the S.E. 16 29 23 -4 Mr Stewart s quarter
through the ME 16 29 -23 -4 which is owned by High Calibre Ranching ( Bert Dick) Mr
McCook attempted to raise Mr Hoff on the radio to meet us at this location but was not
successful The road committee looked at the area in question from the north then from the east
and finally from the south.
Road Committee noted that this matter will be discussed at Executive Conrnuttee on August
e, 1996. Mr. McCook will describe the land to Executive. No recommendations were made.
4. Bob Elliott S W. 13- 29 -24 -4 request for road approval
Chauvco Resources built a road into their lease, the oil company did not obtain permssion from
the M.D to build this road prior to beginning construction. The road is now ready for gravel
The road does not go anywhere except into the lease site it is a dead end.
Road Committee recommends Council to accept the road as it meets pokey Road Comnttee 1�6
recommends a letter be sent to the oil company stating it is O.K. for gravel but state the 7 ° jieo
company shall obtain permission from the M.D prior to commencing any road construction in L<wo 4�,X
the future.
5. Ed Miller Request for Blade Grade West 27 & 34 28 24 -4
Mr Miller requested a blade grade He would like this road built and graveled as he would use it
as a haul road.
Road Committee recommends that if Mr. Hoff would like he could put this particular road mom' -0 of,*

6. Ervie Toews S.E.15- 30 -25 -4 Request for Stop sign
Mr Toews requested a Stop Sign be put up at the end of his driveway as there is so much traffic
coming out of his yard due to Cal s Cycle
Road Committee recommends Mr Toews can purchase a stop sign from the M.D. at this own L,7y e

expense and erect the same on his own property if he so desires.

7. Murray Woods N W 10 -31 26 -4 Change use of Approach
Mr Woods proposes to create a 20 acre subdivision out of this quarter however there is a lease
road going through the area he wants to subdivide. Mr Woods would like to use an existing
approach on SR 582 and move the lease road to accommodate Ins future plans
Road Committee recommends that the Municipal Planning Commission look- at the
subdivision request before the Road Committee makes any decisions regarding changing the
approach
8 Buffalo Jump Road
After the Road Committee inspected the road Mr McCook and Mr Vickery spoke with Colin
Stroeder of Torchinsky and with Mr Cross of Meskin the contractor doing the road. Mr
McCook informed them that the slope work was unacceptable and requested seven approaches be
redone
9 Huxley Hutterrte Colony West 18 -34 22 -4
The Colony requested that this undeveloped road be bladed, road committee inspected and no
recommendation was made.
10. West of 1 34 24 -4 Grad & Walker request for an approach
Request received from Grad & Walker to build an approach into LSD 3 to access a new well
The site distance from the west is not that good.

Road Committee recommends O.K. for oil company to build a temporary approach however S�1 /r1"O
the company must have a `Warning' sign to the west of the approach If and when the well
produces the company will at that time be asked to move the approach: to a safer location wroth
better site distance.
11 Neil Silver West of 16 -34 24 -4 Request for Backsloping
Road Committee recommends if Mr Silver take out existing fence and trees at his expense the ?pz
M.D will as time permits do the Backsloping. The M.D. will not replace the fence. �-,rl

12 Radomske Project Job in progress, no recommendations
13. Wayne Albrecht S.E.13 -34 26 -4 Drainage problem
There has been a drainage problem for years from S.E 13 34 26 into section N W 18 34 25
There is a trench on S.E 13 -34 -26 to help with drainage however both owners very concerned
about the problem
Road Committee recommends to check to see if the M.D. has made any promises in the past
with regard to maintaining the trench or correcting the drainage problem. Fu.'
14. Simpson, Francis Equity Water N W 6 -32 23 -4
Mrs. Simpson is concerned about the trench that has been left on her property as a result of the
Equity Water Project. She would like the trench leveled out and grass seeded.
Road Committee recommends to wait and see if Mrs. Simpson sends a formal request and then M,!V" -;,.�Pxu

15 Penner Project South of 29 -31 23 -4
Road committee inspected the new road and everytlung looked good.
Road Committee recommends to write off this one mile project.
