ROAD COMMITTEE May 26th, 1995
The road committee of the M D of Kneehill meet on Friday, May
26th, 1995 commencing at 8.30 A.M
The following were present.
Marylea Lowen, Councillor Division # 1
Richard M Vickery, Councillor Division #6
Lonnie McCook, Public Works Superintendent
The following roads were inspected and recommendations made
1. Haller Blade Grade w/o 12- 33 -23 -W4
A blade grade project (1 6 km) was completed at this location May
1995
Road Committee recommend to project O K to write off.
2 Buffalo Jump Road
Road Committee travelled on a portion of the Buffalo Jump Road
Road Committee recommend to tear up 500 metres of the Buffalo Jump
pavement from Fred Barr's to Bob Beal's corner This pavement
cannot be patched anymore /✓Ioo

The M D road crew did a brushing project at this location some
years ago The project site was never cleaned up
Road Committee recommend the trees and rock be buried with
whatever equipment the Public Works Superintendent feels is
necessary to get this work done.
4 Huxley Streets
Road Committee travelled through the hamlet of Huxley
Road Committee recommend the Huxley streets be rechipped and this ��"°

project be scheduled at the same time as the Buffalo Jump Road
project
5 Cunningham Blade Grade w/o 11- 33 -24 -W4
This was a blade grade road construction project.

7 Gaetz Cemetery Section 12- 33 -27 -W4
This cemetery is located in the middle if the section of land.
The M D has an easement across the S.W 12- 33 -27 -W4 to access the
cemetery. This access route is 14ft and located on the north
boundary of the S W quarter Mr Clare Herron owns this quarter
and his renter has cultivated over the access route This is

posing difficulties to vehicular traffic trying to access the
cemetery
Road Committee recommend that a road be constructed on the fence
line between Mr. Clare Herron (S W ) and Patty Ablett (N W 7

8 SH 583 Marz Coulee
Road Committee inspected the Marz coulee on SH 583. Clay from the
road project has washed into the coulee ,�y�

The road has recieved a chip seal overlay. The project was
contracted out to McAsphalt Western Ltd. and was completed late
last year It was noted the road looks good

The road has recieved a chip seal overlay The project was
contracted out to McAsphalt Western Ltd and completed late last
year Torchinsky Engineering noted a deficiency that sweeping of
the shoulders may be required in 1995 It was noted the road looks
good

11 Westrex Energy Corp N W 34- 29 -21 -W4
Scott Land Lease, on behalf of their client Westrex Energy Corp ,
has requested permission to use an existing approach to access a
well site at this location Access is off SH 837
Road Committee recommend permission be given to Westrex to use
the existing approach to access their well site "
12 Dale Merkel intersection SH 575 & SH 837
Road Committee recommend rumble strips be installed at the Dale
Merkel intersection.
13 Charter Land Services Ltd N E 22- 29 -21 -W4
The April 19/95 Executive Committee had approved a request from
Charter Land Services, on behalf of their client, Canadian Cometra
Inc , to use the undeveloped road allowance at this location to
access their well site This approval was subject to the
conditions and standards for road construction by private parties
on M D road allowance, as per policy.
Road Committee recommend O K to utilize the undeveloped road
allowance to access their well site 1-��•

Road Committee recommend a 500mm culvert be installed between the
two gas lines located at SSE 36- 28 -21 -W4

15 Mobil Oil Canada Access Road 05- 08/13- 09- 28 -20 -W4

Mobil Oil has requested approval to construct two access roads
rom SH 847 to access their well sites at the above referenced
ocation. Mobil is also requesting permission to use 203 metres
f M D road to access the 13 -09 wellsite and shall accept
responsibility for any damages occurring on the road resulting
from this permission.
Road Committee recommend permission be given to Mobil oil to
nstruct the two approaches to standards as set out in M D

16 Pan Canadian WSW 7- 28 -20 -W4 and S E 12- 28 -21 -W4
ioneer Land Services, on behalf of their client PanCanadain
etroleum, had requested consent to use the existing undeveloped
oad allowance as part of the access road in their well sites at
these locations subject to development of this undeveloped road
illowance to a minimum standard of 24 ft wide This was a
elaxation of the M D. road standard policy. Upon inspection by
he road committee it was noted at WSW 7- 28 -20 -W4 water drainage
nd final clean up needs addressing
Road Committee recommend a letter be sent to Pan Canadian
requesting them to address the water drainage problem and proceed
with final clean up and that this location be re inspected by the
road committee upon completion of this requested work
17 Pioneer Land Services Ltd. 16- 15- 28 -21 -W4
ioneer Land Services, on behalf of their client, PanCanadian
etroleum have requested permission to cross undeveloped road
llowance at this location to access their well site
Road Committee recommend approval be given to PanCanadian to
�onstruct a road over the M.D. undeveloped road allowance, subject
to road standard requirements, as per M D policy. LG

eeting
