HomeMy WebLinkAbout1995-03-09 Council MinutesI" w ROAD COMMITTEE March 9, 1995 The road committee of the M D of Kneehill meet on Thursday, March 9th, 1995 commencing at 9.00 A.M. The following were present. Otto Hoff, Councillor Division # 2 Richard M Vickery, Councillor Division #6 (after 9 30 A M ) Lonnie McCook, Public Works Superintendent Jennifer Deak, Assistant Administrator The following roads were inspected and recommendations made- Art Pryor N W 24- 33 -25 -W4 Mr Pryor has requested the M.D widen a road approach into his residence It was noted that the approach probably has a culvert into the yard and that dirt could be hauled from the side slope, to the east Road Committee recommend to approve request to widen approach and that the approach should be widened to the east 2 D R Hurl & Associates 5- 23- 32 -27 -W4 D R Hurl & Associates, on behalf of their client, Chancellor Energy Resources Inc , have requested permission to construct an approach as well as utilize the road allowance into well site. It was noted that this is an undeveloped road allowance abutting the M D boundary. Road Committee recommend to approve request on condition the east side of the road allowance is used; the road is maintained by the company, should the well be a production well and further activity Lc�� follows, the road will need rebuilding to accommodate increased traffic, therefore request the company advises us of same c�eogAco,, The road committee proceeded to Linden via SH 806 and it was noted that the line painting on SH 806, between SH 583 and Linden, is in very good condition The road committee lunched in Linden and was joined by Mr Bob Boake 3 Dean Penner S W 36- 29 -25 -W4 Mr Penner has requested road improvement to access this location from SH 575 Mr Penner is planning on building a home at this location with a possible commencement date this summer It was noted that this is an undeveloped road allowance. The possibility of accessing the location from the west was reviewed but Mr Boake advised the committee that such a road would require buggy work, a culvert and land purchase Accessing from SH 575 would only require grader work to do a blade grade. It was uncertain exactly where the new house would be located and Mr Boake stated he would ascertain the exact location of the building project Road Committee recommend a blade grade road to access the location ;�seSar from SH 575 but this only be undertaken once permits are taken out and approved for the house construction Mr Boake left the road committee 4 D R Hurl & Associates 3- 18- 30 -22 -W4 D R Hurle & Associates, on behalf of their client, Gulf Canai Resources Ltd., has requested consent to construct a ro approach. This location is just north of Grant McIntosh residence and on undeveloped road allowance It was noted the the oil company has not commenced operations at this location yet 1 ROAD COMMITTEE March 9, 1995 Road Committee recommend permission be given to construct the approach on the undeveloped road allowance Z-,-»csayi 5 D R Hurl & Associates Ltd 5- 16- 30 -22 -W4 D R Hurl & Associates, on behalf of their client Gulf Canada Resources Ltd. have requested consent to construct an approach It was noted that this is the same set up as the above request Road Committee recommend permission be given to construct the approach on the undeveloped road allowance 6 SH 575 at Nacmine The road committee proceeded east on SH 575 by Nacmine A request for signage, before the curves at Nacmine, had been approved at the last Council meeting Road Committee recommend curve signs be placed at this location 1csn��,o and speed limit reduced to 60 kilometres around the curve sections 9 Pins of the road 7 S W 18- 28 -20 -W4 This location is two miles south of Highway #9, on Mr Jensen's property It was noted that the culvert, on the east side of the road, is too high and needs to be lowered.
