Allan Mills had indicated to Art Thomas in the fall that he would be interested in returning as Park Attendant in 1995 if this was acceptable to Council The Park Committee recommended that the Park Attendant be on site to discourage vandalism during the period May 1 to September 5, 1995 Recommended that the overnight camping fee remain the same as 1994. $8 00 per night For the winter all yard lights are to be turned off but the park gate could remain open as long as vandalism does not become a problem. B Cemeteries Recommended to raise price for a, cemetery plot at M D cemeteries from the present $50 00 to $100 00;per plot Recommended that the amount that the M D is charging to maintain those cemeteries that it' does not have title to (Arthurvale, Lumni, Meehan Catholic and Trochu Lutheran) remain the same as was charged in 1994 Time spent maintaining the cemeteries at Arthurvale, Lumni, Meehan Catholic and Trochu Lutheran will be kept separate to determine if the current charges accurately represent the cost involved Page - 10 continued next page, 0T iLl M C Braconnier Park The Parks Committee toured the park on the morning of February 8, 1995 Questions to be answered before a decision should be made in taking over the operation of Braconnier Park .include the following, - There would need to be some sort of agreement worked out with Lawrernce Braconnier as the park area is adjacent to his land which both the dam and reservoir are located on and which the public has access to - Potable water is hauled to the park and stored in a underground tank and there is a hand pump attached but is not working There could be a sanitation problem and a health concern and also how to haul potable water on an ongoing basis. Solution could be to remove this and not have water available as this is a wayside campsite only and a potable water source is not a necessity - Presently there is fee of $5 00 for overnight camping on the honor system with a self registration system Who will collect the money"> How often"> Revenue 1993, 362 units, $1,810 1994, 184 units, $ 920 - Maintenance in 1994 was provided through a contract for the amount of $1,404 00 It was for the period May 10 to September 12 and was done by Greg Skotheim who is a town of Three Hills employee - Camp Kitchen and picnic tables in good repair Two outdoor toilets on site will need to be pumped out on an annual basis - Who stocks the fish in the reservoirs Cost Suggested that the Keiver's Lake Park Attendant could stop by this park to empty the self registration fees twice a week and also empty the garbage containers at that time He presently comes to town with the garbage from Keiver's Lake and also to pickup janitorial supplies etc Possibly offer the Keiver's attendant 10% of the overnight camping fees from Keiver's and Braconnier Parks for his additional duties and longer season, in addition to the contract amount he received in 1994 There appears to be limited mowing required and it wouldn't take long for the ASB crew to do this as they go by on their way to mow at cemeteries in the area or Swalwell Hamlet Page - 11 I J M w A ti b y b IS ay oj a w o Ul 1 C? a I$* OUTSTANDING PAYROLL CIIL•QUES CHEQUES As AT January 31 19 95 GENERAL CHEQUES GENERAL CIILQUIiS Ell 0 AMOUNT cx E AMOUNT ex • AMOUNT 21363 $ 20 18 21619 253 13 21634 24 75 21892 78 04 21926 325 00 21983 40 00 22033 3500 00 22060 100 00 22064 644 52 22065 9455 59 22070 32 05 22071 611 79 22072 12 00 22084 16 69 22087 9 15 22092 1185 70 TOTAL OUTSTANDING PAYROLL CHEQUES S .
