HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992-12-16 Council MinutesROAD COMMITTEE REPORT WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 16th 1992 The road Committee of Otto Hoff, Richard M Vickery and Bud Haskell met on Wednesday, December 16th, 1992 and reviewed the following projects 1 Brian Parry Stockpile Site Looks good Rocks if any to be picked in spring 2 Jantz Stockpile Site I Needs ripping Rocks to be picked after ripping 3 Kissick Sunnyslope Street Light There is a street light 75 feet south of residence Keith Weigum has a mercury light to the north Committee recommend no additional street light be installed 4 Penner Stock Pile Site Would like fence around the site and left for one or two years until the grass is established Needs ripping and possible rock picking Need to determine whether the grass is to be reseeded by the M D or the Landowner 5 SR 582 Sideslopes - In spring when dry enough Division 4 Grader should touch up where needed Clover in ditches along SR 582. Ask Art Thomas about spraying it 6 John Gavin Request to purchase M.D land or lease it Pt N W 15- 29 -23 -4 Land is located north of the building towards the railway Committee recommend the M D. sell the 2 12 acres to Mr Gavin • Should check with Ed Dunay for assessment and fair market value for land on a per acre basis. 7. Garson Pit i Area stripped is ready for crushing Area north reclaimed and rocks to be picked in spring. 8 Rowbottom - N E 19- 29 -21 -4 - Subdivision Approach not yet installed Will be installed by owner in spring of 1993 9 Gorman - Nakaska Blade Grade Road looks good Recommend to put culverts in where needed i letter s en-4-- R e�e � rcd S llanyet- k �ti. i 0 ROAD COMMITTEE REPORT WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 16th 1992 10 Meding Blade Grade West 12- 33 -23 -4 1 mile Have Councillor Wagstaff check with landowner to see if it is still required. No residences on the road at all Road has to curve around slough and if blade grade was built it would take a buggy to build through the slough 11. Opinac 16- 10- 33 -23 -4 Farmer needs an approach but can access off lease road going west if he had to East approach needs to be installed 12 Allied Land - Renaissance 14- 32- 33 -22 -4 - Edgar Riep. Site Distance Good - approach installed Road still under construction. 13 Tatro Blade Grade Tatro texas gate north half mile complete East West mile needs cleaned up with buggy - will take one day Rocks need to be picked and road gravelled after rocks picked 14 Pat Lawrence Backsloping NW 4- 34 -22 -4 Not complete No fence. Glen Wagstaff to check out to see if feasible Some brush and large rocks left. Rocks are owner's responsibility as per agreement Refer to Councillor Wagstaff Prevaling wind from north will still leave the road with snow problems North side owned by R L Painter. Refer to Agreement - lots of ifs and buts II 15 Dallen Lang - SW 16- 34 -22 -4 Not Complete 400 to 500 feet in the N W corner of property No fence Rock picking up to owner as per agreement One to 2 hours with grader with do the job. 16 Silver Stockpile Black dirt put back Area has been ripped. Manure was applied to area before all the rocks were picked Might be more to pick in spring once area is cultivated Low area at south end may hold some water Time will tell Advise Councillor Wagstaff to check with owner in spring 17.
