COUNCIL MEETING WEDNESDAY, JUNE 26th, 1991
The June 25th, 1991 Council meeting reconvened as agreed on
Wednesday, June 26th, 1991, at 9.00 P M
All councillors, John C Jeffery, Municipal Administrator
and Frank Wesselling from Palliser Regional Planning RED DEER
Commission were present. RIVER
VALLEY
Those present toured the Red Deer River Valley until after TOUR
dinner.
At 2 15 P M Reeve Otto Hoff called the meeting to order at
the Administration Building in Three Hills
The report prepared by the Palliser Planning Commission ENVIRONMENTALLY
which identified the environmentally significant areas SIGNIFICANT
in the M.D. of Kneehill was discussed at length It was AREA REPORT
agreed the report would be used as a background report and
be taken into consideration when making policy decisions
about the Red Deer River Valley.
Mr. Wesselling suggested the M D not re -zone any areas
at this time but wait to see what any land owners or
developers might suggest for developments in that area.
Mr. Cunningham entered the meeting at this time

Mr Boake moved the Environmentally Significant Area Report
be accepted by Council as a guideline and Palliser Planning
Commission and the M D Development Officer be instructed
to take the document into consideration when doing the Red ASP x
Deer River Valley Study and when using the M D land use
by -law.

Mr Jeffery read the minutes from the January, 1991
planning commission meeting and also Page 21 and 22 of the
Red Deer River Valley study
Mr Marz moved Mr Wesselling, Mr Cunningham, and the AREA
M P C be directed to work on an area structure plan for STRUCTURE
that portion of the Red Deer River Valley within the M D PLAN
of Kneehill starting at the D.inosaour Trail, the plan
address Country Residential and Commerical uses only and a
report be brought back to Council with their fo".A'

The offer to purchase Lots 9 and 10 in Block 2 Swalwell was
discussed. OFFER. TO
PURCHASE
Mr. Hogg moved the M D sell the above noted lots to Mr SWALWELL
Jespersen for the sum of $650 00 with no building LOTS
committment
CARRIED
Mr. Hogg noted noted the Three Hills School Division wish HUXLEY
to have some trees removed from the west side of the Huxley SCHOOL
School property and wonder if the M D could do this work REMOVAL
for them TREES

Mr Marz moved the M D arrange to knock the trees down for
the Three Hills School Division and if it is necessary for
the M D to be involved in disposal of the trees the School °��S
shall arrange for disposition of same within a 10 mile

Mr Hogg noted the Huxley Ball Club asked for approval to TREES
plant trees around the ball diamond and the Community Hall HUXLEY

Mr Hogg discussed
the trailer and extra air bottles which
are available
from
Pat Roach of Huxley. Mr Roach
indicated he
would
be prepared to accept payment for the

trailer over
a period of time if necessary

Mr Marz moved the M.D. purchase the trailer and air
bottles for $6500 00 on condition all the participating
towns and villages agree to pay their share of the cost
based on their existing cost sharing agreement with the
M.D., and further moved if the trailer is purchased it is
to be stored in a central area (likely Three Hills) and any
area using the bottles must ensure same are refilled

Mr Boake moved this meeting do now adjourn
