Business Arising From the Minutes
1 "Registered Guest Only" after 10.00P.M was discussed by council and they decided to
leave the time at 11 OOP M , so the motion reads "Registered Guests Only" after 11 OOPM
2 Norman Soder reported he has not started to create parking stalls but will try to get
them cleared and numbered this winter
3 Norman Soder has not checked into settingup a trailer dump station, running water,
concrete base and possible well contamination would have to be considered
4 The wooden garbage can lids are working out well and Nick Mamona said he could use
a few more for next year
5 The M D sign man has installed the approved park signs on Highway #27 as requested
6 The posts and chains to control entrance to and exit from the park have worked out well.
7 The change booths have been moved out of the brush and the baricades to keep cars
back will be put in this winter
8 Mr Mamona thanked the committee for providing him with the Yazoo mower, it sure
helped make the park look neater
9 Park fire wood has been hauled in to last for the rest of the season
10 Norman Soder has requested Council to keep his men on staff for an additional two
weeks to cut wood for the parks for next season
11 Mr Mamona suggested that the Boy Scouts or 4H Groups be approached to set up a wood
consession at Keivers Lake The cost of wood would prevent probable wastage plus make
money for the group in charge
12 The light over the front gate is still on continually and the Power has not been
turned off
Park Attendant's Report
1 Nick Mamona thanked the parks committee for their support and help
2 Some campers requested construction of a playground away from the Beach - swings,
slides, and teter- totters were suggested Herman Martens is to check into insurance
and liability coverage that would be required
3 Mr Mamona suggested a two wheel trailer could be purchased for the park so the
attendant could haul his own garbage and possible wood
4 All the signs in the park should be updated to clearly show the rates charged
5 Day pass cars have caused some congestion on the beach, a Day pass parking area away
from the beach up near the gate may be one solution or camping stalls along the
beach may be another
6 Mr Mamona suggested rates for seasons pass remain as they are Moved by Cliff Poole,
that all rates for 1981 be tabled Carried
7 The water level in the lake may require power boat restriction for 1981 season
8 Nick Mamona suggested that new pits for washrooms be dug and the use of lime be
encouraged next year to prolong the life of each pit
