S Mr Ferguson moved that the M D pay Marshall Williams $3206 00 to cover Oct. these two accounts Mr Hazelton then left the meeting Mr Poole moved approval of the minutes of the council meeting of July 28th 1980 Carried APPROVAL OF MINUTES WORK FOR Carried ALTON Mr Alton Parker has requested the following PARKER The M D to build up his private driveway into his buildings to use up the six hours work with a cat he has coming as per arrangements made with him last year 2 The M D to supply and spread gravel in front of his quonset in lieu of some of the money owing to him for land purchases After discussion of these requests, it was agreed that it was the M D 's responsibility to supply Mr Parker with reasonable access to his land as part of the road project, and the six hours work could be used improving Mr Parker's private access road into the buildings but the M D could not supply and spread gravel for him Mr Buaer moved that Mr Ferguson be authorized to finalize this matter with Mr Parker The matter of fencing across the Gatine Road - NE 8 -29 -2104 - was briefly discussed and Mr Berdahl moved to table this matter pending an inspection of the site to see if the fence has been removed 0d, E Qe �G f` Carried GATINE ROAD FENCED OFF Carried The Road Committee arranged an agreement with Lloyd Jackson & Judy Hogkinson regarding purchase of land for road widening at NE 34- 34 -23 -4 The owners will sell the land required to the M D for no consideration if the M D will construct about 4/10 of a mile of fence for them After discussion Mr Ferguson moved the agreement arranged with the owners be approved, and arrangements be made to have the land surveyed and dedicated as public access, with costs for the survey to be paid by the M D Carried It was agreed the fencing should be done this year i0possible to have the preliminary survey work done before freeze up L JACKSON ROAD WIDENING NE 34 34 -23 -4 f ANDERSON BRIDGE There was brief discussion about the Anderson Bridge Project, and Mr PROJECT Campbell moved this matter be tabled pending receipt of further information from Alberta Transportation Carried YIELD SIGN A yield sign is required at the south east corner of the SE 5- 30 -26 -4 SE 5-30 - and Mr Brown moved that a yield sign be installed at this location 26 -4 Carried The offer from Andrew Parlane for the old 16 foot truck deck OFFER FOR OLD r 141 DECK TRUCK COUNCIL MEETING AUGUST 11th 1980 P 2 was then considered The offer was $150 00 Mr Poole moved that the truck deck be sold to Mr Parlane on an as is, where is, basis for $150 00 Carried APPLICATIONS Applications for work from Daniel Yontz, Gerald Miller, Mitchell Webb J, FOR WORK were reviewed and Mr Ferguson moved these be referred to Mr Paquette Carried CONDITIONS OF There was discussion about the condition of SR 583 west of Three Hills VARIOUS ROADS the Pope Lease Road, SR 805 and 806 and the Sunnyslope Road, and #27 East Mr Ferguson moved that the M D contact Alberta Transportation at Hanna about the many complaints received about #27 East Carried Mr Bauer moved that Alberta Transportation be requested to repair the three bad spots on the Three Hills West Road, and the one bad spot on SR 806 by Neil Penner's property with hot asphalt U 5 when they are doing the paving on SR 806 from Acme to Linden, and p r Y ✓, if this cannot be done by Alberta Transportation the M D purchase sufficient hot mix from Alberta Transportation (or its contractor) to repair these portions of the roads Carried FENCE AT Mr Berdahl noted that a fence at the Andrew -Lowen Pit was left down ANDREW LOWEN and cattle got out Mr Paquette stated the fence had not been taken PIT down by the M D during the recent testing operations but as the fence is in bad shape the M D will have to do some work there It was generally agreed this should be done The portion of the Pope Lease Road which will not be paved will require GRAVEL ON gravel as well as the road approaches on this portion There have POPE LEASE also been complaints about the poor job of rock picking on this project ROAD Mr Berdahl also moved that first time gravel be approved for FIRST TIME the roads as follows GRAVEL FOR Road Diversion - SE 25- 28 -22 -4 - portion of road only TWO ROADS East Side of Section 4- 29 -21 -4 - portion of road only Carried There was discussion about where the small crew will go next NEXT PROJECT and Mr Berdahl moved that the Small Crew go to the project FOR SMALL West of 27- 34 -24 -4 , and following completion of that project, Mr CREW Paquette be given authority to move the crew to whatever project on the road program he feels in his own discretion can be undertaken at that time Mr Paquette left the meeting at this time Carried Mr Peter Spilchen has advised Mr Jeffery he is leaving the M D RESIGNATION and moving to British Columbia He has submitted a letter of PETER resignation effective September 12th, 1980 Mr Berdahl moved SPILCHEN to accept the letter of resignation with regrets Carried Mr Poole moved that the M D advertise for a replacement for Mr Spilchen immediately Carried BUDGET RUN Mr Jeffery reviewed the budget run and various items were discussed Mr Bauer moved to accept as information Carried BANK Mr Jeffery reviewed the bank reconciliation for the month ending RECONCILIATIO July 31st, 1980 and after discussion Mr Berdahl moved approval Carried The statement showed a net balance of $1,746,777 07 SURVEY RE.
