PARK COMMITTEE MEETING MARCH 28th, 1978
A meeting of the Park Committee was held in the M D office
in Three Hills, March 28th, 1978 commencing at 7 30 P M
The following people were present
C W Poole, A W Bauer, R G Campbell and J C Jeffery
The Secretary gave a brief report regarding the hiring
of a park supervisor under contract for operation of
Keiver Lake Park
It was noted that the person's duties must be outlined
the hours of work do not have to be regular, but must not
average more than 44 hours per week, the responsibilities
can be inspection of facilities, close and open the park,
the person must have a day off, but the day off may be
during the week, income tax, unemployment insurance and
Canada Pension must be deducted and the person is entitled
to receive holiday pay on termination
Mr Ed Carter of Alberta Labour is sending out a copy of
an approved contract for our consideration
The matter of charges for use of the park was then °",c,`

discussed It was agreed to recommend a charge 50-�-
of $1 00 per unit per day - for example a car pulling vi
a trailer and a boat would be $3 00 per day, a motor bike
only would be $1 00 per day
Discussions were held concerning regulations for the park
It was generally agreed to recommend the following,
regulations
Gates open 9.00 A M
Gates close 11.00 P M
No vehicles allowed to operate off the roadways
No vehicles allowed on beach front, except for parking or
docking
No access noise after 11.00 P M
Speed limit - 10 kilometers per hour
It was also felt a parking area should be fenced off
so people wishing to leave the park after 11.00 P M
would have to leave their cars outside of the gates
It was agreed to advertise for a man for the park
as follows Park supervisor required, mature person to ,C;
supervise park area from approximately May 15th to
September 15th, 1978, person required to live in the park
area, accomodation and telephone supplied salary
negotiable, deadline for applications - May lst, 1978

The committee felt that a negotiating salary would
be roughly $800 00 per month plus a commission of 50%
The committee felt the supervisor's duties would be
to open and close the nark, inspect park facilities
using small spray bombs for toilet areas also
watching paper supplies for toilets, cleaning up garbage
around tins in the area It was felt the service board
could continue to empty the garbage tins, and cleaning up the toilet
areas as required
The meeting then adjourned at 9.30 P M
