DEATH SCOTTY' Carried PARK Mr. Klig advised Council of the death of Mr George (Scotty) Park on Thursday, October 6th, 1977 Mr. Park had been employed as asses r for the Municipal District for many years A memorial servi is being held in Three Hills today. WIMBORNE The Chu ch has decided not to dispose of their Wimborne UNITED Church roperty at this time CHURCH LOTS After d scussion, Mr. Litz moved that the Church Board be advi ed that their property in Wimborne must be cleaned 0 up and he <-;rass cut as it is a fire hazard, and they must comply ith the terms of our nuisance byelaw Carried Mr. Jef ery advised Council that title in the name of the 10 FOOT STRIP M D has been received to the 10 foot strip of land abutting; Pt. NW 9-32 the Three Hills Creek in NW 9 32 -24 -4 This was transferred 24 -4 to the X.D. in connection with the Karl Beagrie subdivision BEAGRIE After discussion, Mr Bauer moved that the 10 foot strip of SUB land be sold to Clear Valley Farms for the sum of $1 00 ✓ if approval for the sale can be obtained from the Provincial Planning Board Carried The Village of Carbon have requested permission from the M D VILLAGE to expa d their existing reservoir which is located on CARBON a 2 5 acre site in the SE 22-29-23 4 The 2 5 acre site WATER is owne by the Village of Carbon RESERVOIR Mr. Fer uson moved approval for the expansion of the water storage facilities by the Village of Carbon on the above V` mentioned site, and that a letter be written to the Local Authorities Board advising that the M D has no objections to this proposed expansion Carried Alberta Provincial Planning Board has advised that PLANNING an appeal was filed by E J Schulz against the refusal APPEAL of C R 11 C of their subdivision application in SW 7- 32- -23 - -4 SCHULZ SUB The dato for the appeal will be set shortly Mr Campbell SW 7 -- moved t1lat a representative from the M.D. attend this 32 -23 -4 hearing, Carried Appeals against the decision of the Development Officer have DEV APPEAL been filed by L. There was a brief discussion with Mr Shea and Mr Wright re�,ardi , the Kneehill Land Fill site and the public hearing to be he d in connection with use of the new site south of the Town of Three Hills the Town of Three Hills is invited to be pr sent at the public hearing being held by the M D on Octcber 24th 1977 The nossibility of havin^ a small pit dui at the present location for temporary use until the new location is ready was also discussed Mr Shea and Mr Wright then left the meeting ORGANIZATIONAL MEETING The date of the organizational meetin- of the new Council was NE ME E COUNCIL then dis usse It was also noted that there is a meeting of the c uncils involved in the Kneehill Sanitary Land Fill operation scheduled for the evening of October 25th, 1977. Pir Berd hl moved that the organizational meeting of Council be held on October 24th, 1977 Carried Mr. Jeff ry reported to Council with re "ard to Mr. Dobler's PURCHASE health aid noted that he has obtained a complete inventory DOBLER'S of Mr D bler's tools which are being used by the gavel crew TOOLS The tool were priced from a 1975 price book and total replacement value wo ld be approximately $1050 00. Mr Dobl r has stated he does not wish to keep the tools V^ and would be willing to accept any reasonable offer for the tools The matt r of tools and tool allowances were discussed, and it was n nerally af,:reed that the tool allowance policy should be revie ed and an inventory should be obtained from the men before t of allowances are paid for this year Mr. Brow moved that the M.D. buv Mr. Dobler's tools for a price of $1000 00 and the tools are to remain with the gavel crew.
