ROAD TOUR - M D ..OF KNEEHILL #48 APRIL 1st, 1977

1 C Brosseau - SW 13- 31 -24 -4 New house to be built -
check regarding approach and vision

Iwalwell - Council favoured closing the south block of Wacker
Avenue, and doing a replot for both the West half of Lot 6 and all of
Block 9; also a replot for block 10 with the alley and street to the
west being closed
The request from Doug Webb to buy certain lots would be held pending
the replot scheme
Council also noted the vehicles at the Melwood, Kerns and Court
properties. Also noted that Arnold Dunbar has not removed his buildings.
As additional information it is noted that Mr and Mrs Dunbar now own
the property in question - Lots 11, 12, 13 6 14 and Lots 35 to 39
in Block 6.
Lots 11 to 26 in Block 7 owned by the M D to be cleaned up this spring

for three years, at $100 00 a year Lease expires Dec 31/77
3. Bridge in NW 10- 30 -25 -4 (N W of Megli Pit) needs new signs
4. Road south of 17- 30 -25 -4 - F Keirle east has heavy traffic and
gives problems in the winter Fairly good gravel
Mr Brown suggested rebuilding that mile plus approximately 34 of a
mile to the east around the curve A cattle pass south of Keirle's
place is only about 18 feet wide and in poor condition.
5. Bircham - looked at the property where Leo Lavoie wishes to
t build a house No decision made
6 (a) corner south of Grainger needs checkerboard for traffic from the
west
(b) Approximately 3 acres in SW 16- 29 -24 -4 cut off by the old road
4 diversion is owned by the M D - This could be sold or leased to the
owner of the balance of the quarter section (our records show
Arthur 6 Alvina Becker)

7 South of NE 11 and south of N3� of 12 in 29 -24 -4 - Mr. Poole suggested
regrading approximately Vj miles if new government culvert is supplied
to replace the bridge near Gordons. The additional piece next to 21
would not need to be done
8. Road diversion SE 25- 28 -22 -4 - we should check regarding our reques4
or a goxernment culvert There was confusion over the location
9 West of 19- 28 -21 -4 - North of Groenveld - the west side of the road
north of the coulee should be checked for erosion in the ditch
10. #9 Highway and Beynon Junction - Low spot at the east of the pavement
should be raised - SE corner of 16- 28-21 -4

11 McKee north -West of 3 & 10 in 28 -20 -4 - Looked at this with an idea
of improving it to take heavy traffic off the Taylor Siding Light
Coat Surfacing - would appear to be too expensive to do this Now only a
fair dirt road

12 Barber Hill - Carbon Sharples Road - recommend keep right
signs Perhaps a few guide posts could be put in also
13. At Carbon - check with McFettridge regarding the
approach to the Hecktor land and the responsibility for the water
diversion channel
14. M Anderson coulee - new bridge authorized should get land deals
made fairly soon
15 Cement creek crossing east of A. Huxley SNW 3- 31 -22 -4 appears okay
but should have more signs such as creek ford only and cross at own risk
16. Corner east of #15 above needs approximately 24" culvert in the
approach at the east side of the road
17. Small culverts and fills are needed
(a) Just north of Walter Stankevich West of 15- 32 -22 -4
(b) East of same corner approximately 3/4 of a mile
f (c) West of the same corner near V Huxley
18 Jim Hanger had asked about changing the drainage at NW corner
of 13- 31-23 -4. Not practical - Poor vision for traffic coming from the
Wright Farm but it would be a fairly big job to improve the vision by
cutting the hill at the south and not creating a snow problem

19 Buildings on farms are rented out at:
(a) SE 27- 28 -22 -4 Ed Ziegler

20. South of 1 & 2 in 31 -24 -4 - Correction Line - Government culvert
has been requested and promised on condition that the M D. builds
a fairly high standard road
