The minutes of the ,,.ug 23/76 meeting were discussed briefly i!ir C W Poole noted a change on page 11, item ##2 A notice to Nr Leon Coates and 11r Hartley Hay regarding two granaries which were too close to the road on the N`1- 22- 29 -23 -4, rather than one granary as recorded Hr. C.W. Poole moved the approval of the minutes with this change CF.rri.ed. i INUTES ChOR /RECTION V Brief discussion was held concerning the banquet CiXINET and meeting with Cabinet i-iembers this evening, and the ///CO1v.2.iITTBE Council as a whole, agreed to adjourn at approximately 4 30 p.m. so as to attend the aforementioned banquet. The Secretary read the Nonthly Statement ending Aug 31, 1976 stating the balance at the end of the previous month was $12,102 75; receipts for the month $215,932.62 with loans received at $30,000.00. Disbursements and interest charged and loans paid amounted to Cheques written to ##28,939 $144,720.42 interest charged 2,209 86 loans repaid 102,000 00 leaving a net balance at the end of the month of $9105.09 It was also noted that loans outstanding are $210,000 00 i--ir A W Bauer taoved the approval of the Monthly State - ment. The Secretary read a letter from Prairie Bible Institute in regards to a grant to them issued in 1975 in theamount of $1675.00 for street lights, and $2325.00 for road main- tenance Brief discussion followed and Per G Berdahl moved that this iiunicipal District grant the Prairie Bible Institute $6,000.00 regarding street lights, maintenance of roads, and also garbage collection & removal. Carried. MONTHLY STt:TEi'sENT P.L.I. GRtJTT The Secretary reported regarding the cancellation of 1-11INSES taxes of a welding machine shop in NT4- 11- 30 -24 -4, moll ##8066, TiAES H.711. Manses, in which Council agreed to cancel the taxes in the amount of $48 84 on condition that 111r Hanses pay for spraying services of $360 00 The Secretary reported that the spraying had not been paid for. Letter read from i.lberta Power regardinga proposed LT, powerline extension to LSD 6- 3- 29 -23 -4 Bumper Development.,�POI %�E- Mr C W Poole moved the approval of the proposed extension EU14PER Carried r. letter was read from Mr R.A.Wallace, Chief Statistician, Census Field, Statistics Canada regarding the Census, 1976. ENSUS He stated that our population as at 1971 was 5,890, and at 1976 was 5,769 11r T.". Ferguson moved that this be accepted and filed. Carried Discussions were held concerning the Kneehill Sanitary La.ndFill Comr::ittee and the minutes of Aug 25/76 meeting were referred to briefly and 14r C 4 Poole moved that these be accepted and filed Carried The Secretary asked what would be a suitable date for advertising; to close all Nuisance Grounds, Hr. C ,, Poole moved that we advertise the closing of all Nuisance Grounds under the control of the Psi D of a3neehi1l effective October Ist, 1976 with the exception of Yuxley nuisance Ground which will be closed imt_rediately Carried It was further noted that t1he FYI. Carried The Secretary read a letter from The Dru:uaheller Health Unit regarding a proposed meeting of the Regional D H U Sanitary Land fill and collection within the Drumheller MEETING Health Unit to be held Oct 6, 1976 in Dru_heller cor:LaencinE; at 10 Y. iii. Mr. L D Litz moved that Mr G Berdahl and Ic ,1. Brown be appointed to attend this meeting Carried 1.1r. I'rereton of the Three .fills School Division, DEFENSIVE reported that Mr Doug Prowse is trying to organize a DRIVING Defensive Driving Training Course and asked if the H.D. COURSE is interested.
