W. 3rown Div 3 (Reeve) Mr. A.W.Ba er Div 4 Mr T A Ferguson Div 5 Mr S C . Sc�melke Div 6 Mr. R G Cafnpbell Div 7 PRESENT Mr G G King, Secretary --Treasurer was present and recorded the minutes MINUTES Mr Brown nentioned that the minutes of September 23rd, 1974 have an error on page 6 in regard to the Bates Estate. Mr Bill Boake should be shown as farm operator and not as!Executor of the Estate Mr Bauer moved the adoption of the minutes of September 23rd, 1974 with the correction as refered to above by Mr Brown Carried Mr Ted Paquette, Public Works Superintendent met briefly with Council. He stated that they had not SWALWELL DAM been able to open the outlet valve at the Swalwell Dam, so had been pumping water out for downstream use by Mr Ralston It appears that the water takes a long time tot vel down the coulee Mr Brown suggested that a bea er dam might be holding back the water and this 11 be checked. Discussion took place regarding hiring extra gravel EXTRA GRAVEL trucks to speed up the work. N.r Schmelke moved that TRUCKS two extra gravel trucks be hired to work while the weather permits Carried Mr G King stated that he had talked to Ron Toews and thought that he could get two trucks from there and he will check regarding this Air Ted Pa uette advised that a new gravel truck is on order,but will not likely be ready for use before freeze up Mr Paquetfte then left the meeting. ELECTION - Mr G King as Returning Officer advised Council that DRUM HOSPITAL Mrs. Irene Andrew had been elected by acclamation as member of the Drumheller Hospital Board Mr Poolelmoved that this report be accepted. Mr G King, as Returning Officer, advised Council that the regulations under the Hospital Act give Council authority to appoint a member It was agreed that Walter Unruh, Jr be contacted to see if he wo d accept the appointment, and if not, that Mrs. Kay Elliott of Swalwell be contacted in that r gard (For Ward 2 - Three Hills Hospital) HOSPITAL BOARD APPOINTMENT Three Hills Hospital Board Mr Bauer moved that the ?ptter from the Drumheller DUMHELLER HOSPITAL General H spital regarding ambulance service be AMBULANCE tabled u=1 October 22nd,1974• Carried Mr.R.W.Br wn reported briefly regarding the Advisory ommittee meeting in respect to the Three Hil s Hosp-ital facilities, the said meeting b ing held on October 3rd He outlined proposals for changes at the hospital or a new hospital hick will be presented by the Board to the Pr vincial Government Officials Mr Ferguson oved that the report be accepted. Carried .5 COUNCIL MEETING - OCTOBER 15th,1974 P 5 Mr.Bauer left the meeting at this time - 11 45 A M Letter of October 7th from the C N R was read in C N R Jvu. regard to the railway overpass between Section 7 and 18 in 31-23-4, approximately 4 miles south of 11-iree Hills T e C N R plan to improve this structure and asked for Council's opinion about specifications. Mr Campbell moved that further information be obtained y- from the Iistrict Engineer, but that Council tentatively consider E 50 foot clear roadway and a clearance of 17 feet more or less, and that this be referred to the next meeting.
