Council to explain sortie matters concerning grants for
roadside tred planting., etc.
1 A grant cf $150 00 per mile each side could be available
to the Municipal District for backsloping old roads if
trees are: being planted as windbreaks The grant would
be calculate as 60% of the cost of motor grader or
caterpillar pork to that maximum
2 It is generally not practical to get the backsloping
and the tree planting: done in the same year It was
agreed that a letter be written to the Department to
ask if there is a two year program for this
3 It was agreed that a written report be provided for
Councillors at the next meeting in regard to grants for
cultivation of trees and the participation of the Govern-
ment in those grants M.r Brown moved that the total
payment to farmers for cultivation of trees be: set as
follows.
First year - 30¢ per rod

Third year - $¢ per rod

Mr G King reported that he had talked to Mr M Fenerty
of C R P C about the procedure to allow a sub -division C R P.C. RE
of less than hO acres in this Municipal District Nir SUB -DIV.
Fenerty had agreed to look up the regulati..,ns and procedurEESS THAN 40 ACRES
for a change and he should be reporting fairly soon
Mr Poole mentioned that Mr Fenerty is taking a short
holiday so the matter will not be dealt with for a short
while Mr Campbell moved that this report be filed

Mr Schmelke reported that he had talked to Mr Warren
