Mr. Paquette advised that two 250,000 b t u GAS HEATERS - units are about the only ores available in BUTLER SHOP Calgary They cost $590 00 each. This shed is not being used as the School Division has allowed us to use a OLD OIL SHED corner in their shed where things can be kept warm and locked Mr. Poole moved that the oil shed be added to the list of items to be offered for sale Carried Some discussion took place regarding building a cement block structure for storing of salt for use on roads. Salaries are approximately 75% of the total cost There are two local doctors Dr Cumming retired during the year and Dr. Yi g has taken over that practise Outpatient services have been higher than previously AMBULANCE Mr Tom Ferguson He gave cr dit again to the drivers and nurses for workin without charge and to the Linden Nursing Hone for full co-operation and help in regard Uo laundry services. He referred to the purchase of the second ambulance which is bigger and better and the fact that the old one is now used as a stand-by 3HILLS HOSP. Of special mention is the new Alberta Wheat Pool Elevator which will be one of the largest and most modern plants. Recreation, Fire Department, etc have been operating very satisfactorily He also stated two new trenches had been dug for the sanitary land fill. He felt these meetings were very good and beneficial VILLAGE OF CARBON BVMr. A. Buyer Mr Buyer spoke of progress also with 5 new homes plus some mobile homes, 1 new business and others coming. The new senior citizen housing is completed - 4 units filled, 6 empty at present but 10 on the waiting list trying to decide what they should do They are short of lots and are now preparing an application to annex additional land.
