Brown reported to Council that we only pay what it costs to repair our trans ission when we exchange transmission There is no flat rate Mr Dobler reported the gravel crew is at Tolman, and the crusher is now at Garson's He says the new gravel truck has a small leak in the radiator and the other new gravel truck is still waiting a box. He further reported that Mr Frank Huxley has a stockpile site 2 mile east of the Sarcee School which could be available for one of our gravel stockpiles. The men directed they would be in favor of 9 hour days with double shifts with over -time after 9 hours Everyone then went over the proposed new contract and they felt that clause 1 was o k Clause 2 - the service men felt that they would be in favor of b(i g paid over -time for working on Saturdays rather then having a Mondayoff on the main crew They further felt it would seem o k if pre -arranged that the Service men could take off - 2 have off Saturday- unday, 2 have off Sunday-2fonday Clause 3 was then gone over and the men stated they would like the winter hours from 7 30 A R to 5.00 P.M rather than the current 8 00 A.M. to 5.30 P M N._nmeals and coffee breaks were discussed. and the men left these pending as they had not talked with the est of their people at all Clause 4 - The gravel crew stated they would like to give one month or 200 hours trial period when coming on the crew and then all the crew would be paid at the sarhe wages The main crew complained that they felt the foreman is rushing everyone too much V and that lome fobs are not getting cleaned up well enough lore feelings were felt that foremen and operators are incompetent in some areas They further felt that enough money was not paid for sub-forem or certificates of proficiency Regarding sick pay the men would like to see it increased to one or two days build-up per month Mr. Vickery of the main crew asked if there was any coverage on our group insurance plan after the 120 day and two year waiting period.
