The regular meeting of the Council of the M.D. of
Kneehill No 4$ was held in the Municipal Office,
Three Hills2 on November $, 1973, commencing at
9:00 A.M. ,

Mr G Ki'LE reported that he and Ted Paquette
had seen Baerg Brothers and Harvey Thiessen
regarding getting gravel from a long knoll
in SE -30-30-25-4 just west of Linden Approxi-
mately tho top 10 feet from that location could
be crushed for road use at 15¢ per cu yd royalty
They recorunended that the gravel be stockpiled
at the former site across the bridge and on the
south side. of the road This would mean a haul
of approximately 2 mile- Mr Hazelton agreed in
principle to this and it was decided that Council
would negotiate later regarding the extra haul
distance

Mr Bauer moved that Linden Contractors be
authorized to do 10,000 cu yds at Garson°s LINDEN CONT. -

A brief discussion took place regarding resolutions
to be presented at the Fall Convention including
two received from the Bonnyville area, one referring RESOLUTIONS FOR

Brown advised that the original resolution from
the M.D. of Kneehill will be presented in regard
to Day Light Saving Time
Mr R TAT Brown and A.W. Bauer reported regarding SUNNYSLOPE

Correspondence was read from the Bridge Branch
in respect to two bridges over the Kneehill Creek
one in Carbon and the other in the M.D. just
south-east of Carbon. A proposal is to construct
new bridges at both locations with the work to
start in the spring and be completed by the latter
part of the summer Mr Poole moved that Council
accept these proposals Carried
Mr Poole advised that Garrett Motors of Carbon
contacted him and had complained about the Municipal
District buying trucks outside of this area They
had suggested that tenders should be called about
6 months i advance to give local agents a good
opportunitto compete Discussion followed
Mr Poole moved that, in future, this Municipal
District call for bids and buy within the 6 towns
and villag s from dealers or sub -dealers for all

They are now hauling some of the frozen gravel
