The pay sheet of Mr I Watson Reed was referred
to Coun it as it showed the time worked for the W .RFEIl PALSHJEET
M.D an also showed the time which he had worked
at the seed cleaning plant Discussion followed.
Mr Fer uson moved that the Municipal District
pay onl for the time worked for the Municipal
District Carried
Mr Bau r moved that Watson Reed be paid three
days compassionate leave and 2 days sick pay
at 8 hours per day for the week following his
son°s a cident. Carried
Sealed ids had been invited for supply to this
Muni.cip 1 District of various trucks and motor
graders with the truck bids to be considered TRUCK BIDS
at 9:30 A.M. Present for the opening of the OPENED
truck b ds were Mr L G. Howe of Three Hills
and Mr Bob CGin—ich of Shaw GMC, Calgary.

It was 4greed that the cab -over truck be
purchas d from Shaw GNC subject to an agree-
ment being made with the company to shorten
the wheel base. This was discussed later
Mr Schmelke moved that two Dodge CNT-$00,
diesel x1andem trucks, cab and chassis, be
ordered from Southside Plymouth Chrysler
Ltd of Red Deer at a price of $19,675 00
each for immediate delivery to Three Hills and

Mr. Bob in`rich of Shaw GMC then met with Council
and was asxed about shortening the wheel base
on the ab -over truck from 120 inch cab to axle
to 108 inch cab to axle He stated that the
additio al cost would be$180 00 Mr ~i:ch
was ask(d about the cost for a rear bumper for
the 4 speed !-ton and staked it would be an
additional $5) 00 He was then asked about
any special discounts that might be allowed
for the bulk order and he agreed that he could
give aeduction of $335 00 In sumiiiary,

Mr. Gerald Sinclair of Ferguson Supply stated
that his company was willing to give a 2%
discourt on the net price difference if both
units ere ordered from his company. He was
advise that this was not stated in the written
bid anj thus could not be considered and that
he sho ld so advise his company
The agents then left tre meeting and Council and
Foremen discussed the relative merits of the
machines with prices, etc, Mr Church moved
that two new Wabco Motor Graders complete with
snowplow and wing be ordered from Coneco Equip-
ment L d less trade-in of our two 1966 units
with s owplow and wings as per price quoted as
followl.

It was agreed that Mr Ted Paquette and G Kin€,
see Baeg°s Dalry Farm regarding a possible
supply f gravel jus" -west of Linden
Informa ion from the Bridge Branch stated that
the Car on East bridge will be installed next
spring
Mr Paquette advised that the main grading
crew is finishing the two miles south of
Ghost Pine tomorrow and will next do some
strippi g at Garson°s If weather is
favorable it will neat work east of the Finn
haul
The sma 1 crew is finishing at Otto Medina°s
and wilnext do small gobs near Ken Anderson's
and at he Huxley Nuisance Ground
