DAU was present for a portion of the meeting Mr Bauer moved approval of the Minutes of the �i�AU BLS Meeting of December 6/72 as per copy sent to each APPROVED Councillor, subject to one correction on Page 59 namely the amount of gravel at the Linden West Stock- pile should read 4500 cu yds (not 45,000 cu yds ) Motion Carried been Council was advised the date has /definitely WED JAN 17/73 set for the meeting of Local Governing Officials for MEETING OF LOCAL Wednesday January 17/73 in the afternoon of that date GOV. OFFICIALS The Hon Mr has ctatcd that the date is acceptable to him Novices have been mailed to those concerned Mr R G Campbell and G Go King reported they had REPORT RE. attended t e meeting at the Trochu Hospital recently TROCHU HOS together wfth representatives of the hospital and of the Town of Trochu The general operation of the hospital and the financial reports had been reviewed It appeared that the deficit for 1973 will be similar to that of 1972 and taus the requisitions will be approximately the same unless the Government looks after these Other information was given of a general nature Mr Ferguson moved that =this report be accepted Carried Circulars from the AAMD & C were read as per item 4 AAMD & C of this agenda Mr Poole moved that these be filed as information Carried The report of the Fire Committee Meeting of Dec 7/72 was read tb the meeting and discussed The following numbered motions were made following discussion of that report. 1 Mr C urch moved that one —half of the phone rentals for Me Fire Department at Three Hills and Trochu be paid and charged to the appropriate Rural Fire Department Carried 2 Mr Erown moved that we advertise that private vehicles should not follow fire trucks because of t e interference with general traffic, etc 3 Mr on att Carried erguson moved that Council approve paying a 50 -50 basis the expenses of the fire chief e ding the Provincial Convention Carried o J 2 REPORT RE. Towns and Villages for a limit of two FIRE C0i0u,iii iL'L per area per year for compensation in a form of °` MEETING lost wages to those attending fire training schools Carried 5 Mr Bauer moved that the report of the Fire Com- mittee ,Meeting be accepted Carried Mr R 'WT Brown and T A Ferguson reported that 0. & B PARRY they had mct Oliver and Brian Parry last Thursday evening RE- POUND at approx 7 00 P M for a discussion of the pound damage DAMAGE claim filedby the Parry in res ect to an animal impounded CLATK at the Ralph Loosmores �� Details of the claim totalling $89 50 are on file Mr. Brown reported that he had also talked to Mr. Harry Link, head of the Brand Inspection Branch Edmonton and had reviewed pertinent statutes He had also interviewed Mr Alf Lawrence, the local BranC Inspector Mr Lawrence reported that the animal is not branded, he also reported that Mr Oliver Parry had told him of the stray being at the farm on October 26th last. Mr Brown had also seen MR Henry Regchr as Mr Parry had referred his name to the committee Considcrabl( discussion followed Mr Brown moved that Council agree to pay the following to Oliver and Brian Parry 1 For tricking the animal to the pound $10 00 2 For pasture 2 50 (based on approx. 1 week) Total $12 50 and that Mrj Brian Parry be given an opportunity to submit an itemized account regarding his services as vcterinaria� and for veterinary supplies or medicines without oblligati.on to the M D and its Council and that this account be then given consideration Motion Carried I It wad noted that a list of the poundkeepers should POUNDKEEPER5 be sent toMr Alf Lawrence, Brand Inspector The r-Iport of Mr C L Servold, P Eng , was read LaU.iivEER °S in regard to sewer servicing proposals for Ruarkville REPORT RE. This report had recently been presented to the Town of SEWER SERVICE Three HillE by Mr Servold but no representative had RUARKVILLE been at that meeting fron, the M. D of Knechill so details were lacking Total cost estimate was $37,200 00, Proposed procedure for levying frontage tax, etc and maps of the routes concerning levels were included with the report Mr Dan Pc ers, as member of the Town Council; gave a ✓ little add tional information It was agreed that the Municipal District should have a representative at the next meeting of the engineer and the Town and that this be tabled in the meantime The f llowing then .,yet with Council as members of A S B the Agricu tural Service Board. He stated that he would like a booking order now for culverts and would guarantee present prices with ',delivery and invoicc in March, April or May.
