stated he re rotted he would not be present for all of
the m,cating.
Mr Ted Paquette, Public Works Superintendent, was
present thro ghout the meeting.
Mr G 0. King, Secretary- Treasurer, was present
and recorded the Minutes.
Notice was read advising that the Task Force com-
mittee was t0 meet with Mr Thigh Bodmer at Carbon this
evening Mr R W Brcrn stated he would be able to
attend in his capacity on th '7tit committee.

Three Hills on August 17 with the special M. L A committee
on Crop Insurance and Weather Modification The meeting
starts at 10 00 A M The Municipal Brief is to be presented
at 3 30 P M and approximately one-half hour is allowed for

gard to having a basic cre7 insurance taking all funds

other items. Roference was made to a resolution passed at
recent Agricultura7 Service Board conference. Mr Poole
moved. that Mr Ralph Brown present the brief regarding

Mr. Poo Le reported that Steve Goacher has asked
about leave f absence for approximately one to two
months if a -eplacement is available to operate the
motor grader in Div. 2. Mr Goacher has been having
some back tr uble due to standing in the machine for
long hours lscussion followed. Mr. Poole moved that
Council gran Mr. Goacher leave of absence commencing
August 14th ind not to exceed two months unless otherwise
agreed by Co ncil and that this leave of absence be with-
out pay Carried.
Mr Poole asked why this Municipal District put the
cold -mix material in a dry hole without oil whereas the
Government c ew use more oil when patching holes Mr
Ted Paquette advised that our material is made to be
used as we a e doing and that the Provincial Government
uses a diffe ent material and different procedure
Mr Brown asked for some further clarification in
regard to the records for down -time of any machines. The
intent of the policy in brief was explained by Mr G King
as being repairing time plus the time obtaining the repairs
The con ition of the Trcchu east road was discussed.
Mr. Paquette recommended patching as previously planned
Discussion followed in regard to projects listed
for 1972 work if possible for the main grading crew

read Mr B own stated he could not attend but suggested
that some o her Councillor go in his stead After discussion,
it was evid nt that all of the Councillors were very busy
and none wished to attend Mr Schmelke then moved that

information particularly in regard to the type of doors
on his buil ing Mr Luft then left the meeting
Mr. ScImelke moved that a new shop building 409 x 1044 WILSON
be ordered from Wilson Arches as per its bid for a total ARCHES BID
price of $8,123 00 with the two doors and including two =' ACCEPTED
coats of painting on the ends. Carried. $$,123 00

Mr. Ferguson moved that the terms of payment for the TERMS OF
new Wilson Building be $2,000.00 cash down payment now PAYMENT
and the balance two weeks following completion. Carried
Mr. Luft then left the meeting as did also Mr Jeffery.
The brief to be presented to the Cabinet committee BRIEF RE
in regard to Crop Insurance and Weather Modification was CROP INS
then further discussed. Mr. Poole moved that Council with- ETC
draw all comments regarding Weather Modification from the
brief which is being submitted to the M.L A. special
committee. Carried.
Mr Brown outlined his ideas in respect

regarding the old Torrington Nuisance Ground. Mr Brown r
moved that the Road Committee check regarding this.

At the request of Nrt. Zemlak for $15.00 for the gravel
at the Lamplighter Inn /was further discussed. Mr. Ferguson
moved that this account be not paid as it had not been
first authorized by Council but that this Municipal District
endeavour t provide better maintenance in the future
