Motion Carried. There was some brief discussion regarding Weather WEATHER MOD Modificati n and Provincial Government funds. Brief discussion was held concerning our apparent Mr. Brown suggested keeping records GRAVEL SHORTAGES gravel sho adding 10 tages and er cent to each load to see how we come out at the end of the year A letter from the Three Hills School Division asked for Council's opinion in regard to the formation of a REGIONAL Regional Library. Mr Poole moved that a reply be sent LIBRARY stating that Council is not in a position to give any special re ommendations due to lack of detailed knowledge. Carried Mr. C urch moved that the Minutes of March 8th meeting ✓ 3 SCHOOL ILSMIN of the Thr e Hills School Division be accepted and filed. Carried Report from Sarcee Butte Social Center was read out- lining the improvements they have recently made to the Center and their plans for 1972. They requested considera- tion with the Recreation Grants It was also noted that the Sunnys ope area is putting out a history book and has need of a rant this year It was agreed that Sar,:ee Butte and Sunnys ope be each granted $125 00 for 1972. See Page 4 FORM 149-0 SPECIAL MUNICIPAL SUPPLIES COUNCIL MEETING APRIL 10, 1972 Page 3 Mr Roland Winter, Mrs Myrtle Roberts and Mrs DRUMHELLER Maxine Dut on met with Council to discuss the proposal AMBULANCE SERVICE of Mr. Rol nd Winter to provide ambulance service, sub- in- PROPOSAL ject to a ubsidy Highlights of the discussion and formation riven were as follows 1 A tot 1 subsidy of $12,000.00 per year is expected by Mr Win er and this would be divided on an equalized assessment basis for those areas in the Drumheller Hos- pital District. Portion from this Municipal District would be a out $1,6$0 00 2. Mr Winter would be buying a new ambulance at a price of approximately $10,000 00 and hiring an addition- al man. Mr Winter stated that Carbon Village would pay in approxi ately $200 00 per year if the Municipal Dis- tract joins. 3 County of Wheatland has not agreed to join as of now 4. A charge being made b Mr Winter for ambulance 15 00, 50¢ running service i a basic fee of plus per him $3,600.00 revenue mile. Mr G King reported to Council he had talked REPORT RE to Mr. E rl Danchuk, Secondary Road Engineer, at SEC ROAD Edmonton this afternoon in regard to the following ENGINEER 1. Had given approval for the Government to use GRAVEL som of the stripped ggravel in the Municipal Pit in the NE- 16- 32 -2b -4 for use for the paving project in this Municipal District. 2 Mr Danchuk had been questioned about the plans TROCHU for the Trochu East road as referred to earlier EAST ROAD in rhis meeting and had stated the 1973 plans are being started and he would hope to include tha project in 1973 government program Mr Poola moved that the reports of the discussion with Mr Danchuk be accepted by Council.
