Mr Brown briefly reported on some information he
had obtained in regard to Unemployment Insurance and
stated that a salary continuance policy may reduce the
premium to Unemployment insurance on the employers por-
tion but this is not definite
Council then discussed in detail the report of the
Employee Committee meeting of December lst and dealt
with same as follows in these Minutes Council was given
a record of the estimated cost of various benefits re-
quested by the employees and these were considered at
the same t me as other matters Decisions agreed upon
by Council are outlined briefly below

tee, then read the Minutes of the previous Shop Commit- COMMITTEE
tee meeting of December 6/71. General discussion followed MINUTES
and the general feeling of the meeting was to get specs
on the following equipment

1 motor grader and possibly 1 twin rubber scraper

individually in to the meeting and asked if they had
any new equipment to offer and asked if they could pro -
q_de us with specs of the above listed equipment
The Jollowing salesmen then 3ntered the meeting
and prove ed the Council with brochures and a brief SALESMEN
run -down if their various types of equipment

Bob Gowland and Jim Gerwin - Pardee Equipment
Don Creighton - Vulcan Machinery
Geor e Robbins and Cliff Showers - R Angus Ltd
All of the salesmen outlined their various types
of equipment for approximately 15 minutes each and
Mr. Brown informed each of the salesmen that they
would be receiving our invitation for tenders in the
very near future
The meeting adjourned at 4 00 P M ADJOURNMENT
