Campbell 90 7 G King, Sec - Treasurer was present and minutes except as otherwise noted Mr G KING -y sat in on the greater part of the meeting Mr Pole moved approval of the minutes of the MINUTES Council Meeting of November 28/71 as per copy which had APPROVED been mailed,to each member Carried The Mo thly Financial S' :atement for the month end- ing November 30/71 was presented and discussed as per copy with these minutes This showed a net balance at the end of the month of $1,242.05 but with $210,000 00 owing on to ns Mr. Schmelke moved that the Monthly Statement be accepted Carried Letter of December 1/7- from the Bank of Montreal, Trochu stated they would be prepared to carry on Mun- icipal banking business wit' interest at the prime lending rato which curre: tl-ly- stands at 6 per cent per annum. Mr G King advised ''ouncil that no reply has been receiv d from. the Royal Bank at Three Hills and that presen rate of rote - ^e_ ;t being paid at the Treasury Branch is 5 % Mr. Ferguson moved that the Bank of Mont- real letter be filed as in.ormation Carried Mr. Brown moved that 1114r. Arthur N Taylor of the Acme area be appointed as Poundkeeper with the Pound to be locat d in the NE - -2. 29 -26 -4 and with notices to be posted at the Pour.' at the Acme Bulletin Board and at the kcme Auction Mart when required in regard to impcunde an_JJrals, sal:?s, etc Carried Mr G King advised Council that due to a change in assessment tax levy to Gulf Oil Canada Limited in regard to LSD 11- 27- 33 -2b-4 was too high by the amount of $108 16 for 1971 Mr Schmelke moved that Council authorize cancellation of $108 16 taxes In regard to the above Carried.
