A regular meeting of the Council of the M D. of
Kneehlll No 48 was held at the Municipal Office, Three
Hills on Monday, December 13, 1971, commencing at 9 00

-y sat in on the greater part of the meeting
Mr Pole moved approval of the minutes of the MINUTES
Council Meeting of November 28/71 as per copy which had APPROVED
been mailed,to each member Carried
The Mo thly Financial S' :atement for the month end-
ing November 30/71 was presented and discussed as per
copy with these minutes This showed a net balance at
the end of the month of $1,242.05 but with $210,000 00
owing on to ns Mr. Schmelke moved that the Monthly
Statement be accepted Carried
Letter of December 1/7- from the Bank of Montreal,
Trochu stated they would be prepared to carry on Mun-
icipal banking business wit' interest at the prime
lending rato which curre: tl-ly- stands at 6 per cent per
annum. Mr G King advised ''ouncil that no reply has
been receiv d from. the Royal Bank at Three Hills and
that presen rate of rote - ^e_ ;t being paid at the Treasury
Branch is 5 % Mr. Ferguson moved that the Bank of Mont-
real letter be filed as in.ormation Carried
Mr. Brown moved that 1114r. Arthur N Taylor of the
Acme area be appointed as Poundkeeper with the Pound
to be locat d in the NE - -2. 29 -26 -4 and with notices
to be posted at the Pour.' at the Acme Bulletin Board
and at the kcme Auction Mart when required in regard
to impcunde an_JJrals, sal:?s, etc Carried
Mr G King advised Council that due to a change
in assessment tax levy to Gulf Oil Canada Limited in
regard to LSD 11- 27- 33 -2b-4 was too high by the amount
of $108 16 for 1971 Mr Schmelke moved that Council
authorize cancellation of $108 16 taxes In regard to
the above Carried.

wages as requested as from January 1/71 and that the
agreement be amended accordingly
2 Town cf Trochu - Trochu had sent in a typewritten
revised agreement which on quick review appeared
almost identical to the previous agreement There
had b en no special request from the Trochu firemen
Mr Campbell moved that the agreement with Trochu
be accepted subject to it first being checked to
make certain that the details do not vary from the

the Council tentatively agree to sell the unused portion
of the roac allowances referred to above to Mr Wilfred

Mr A W Bauer reported that a representative of
Hudson's Bay Oil & Gas Company had interviewed him in
regard to our damage claim on the road south of Torring-
ton They lad offered $50 00 in settlement of our claim
for $500 00 but asked for a more detailed estimate and
stated their would consider this further. Mr Ted Paquette
was asked 410 bring in details for Council on Wednesday
Mr D bler reported that they have been stockpiling
gravel from the Lowen location and now have approximately
1800 cu y s at Beveridge Lake and 2200 cu yds at the
Horseshoe Canyon They will have enough work there for
another two weeks if the weather is favorable See Page 6
