No 48 was held at the Municipal Office, Three
nday, November 29/71, commencing at 9 00 A M
Mr G G. King, as Returning Officer gave his report
to Council showing that the following were the results*
Mr A H. Church - Re- elected Div 1 - Councillor
Mr. C W Poole - Re- elected Div. 2 - Councillor
Mr R W Brown - Re- elected Div 3 - Councillor
Mr A W Bauer - Re- elected Div 4 - Councillor
Mr T A Ferguson - Re- elected Div 5 - Councillor
Mr. S C Schmelke - Re- elected Div. 6 - Councillor
Mr R G. Campbell - Elected Div 7 - Councillor
All of tho e named except Mr C. W Poole had been elected
by acclama ion. Mr Poole had been re- elected by vote on
November 2 /71

The s ven Councillors named above each subscribed to
the oath o office as Councillor and the oaths were placed , OATH OF

Mr G. G King then called for nominations for Reeve
for a peri d of one year Mr Poole nominated Mr R. W R W BROWN
Brown. Nom nations were called three times and there were ELECTED
no further nominations so Mr Brown was declared elected REEVE
as Reeve He thanked Council and then took charge of the
meeting
Mr. Don Lau congratulated the Council members upon CONGRAT
election or re- election to their offices and Mr Brown in
turn congratulated Mr Don Dau on his re- election as a
member of the Board of the Three Hills Division
Mr Brown called for nominations for Deputy Reeve for C W POOLE
one year Mr Schmelke nominated Mr C W. Poole Nominations DEPUTY
were called three times and there were no further nominations REEVE
so Mr Pole was declared elected
Mr. Foole moved adoption of the Minutes of November 22/71 NOV 22/71
with one correction on Page 6 In regard to the Committee for MINUTES
the Christmas Party The name Mr Dobler should read Mr. Dorn., CORRECTED
Motion Carried
No change was made in the Banking Resolution as the BANKING

date from either the Royal Bank or the Bank of Montreal for

Mr. Poole made the following motion in regard to regular REGULAR

LAND AND ANCE AGREEMENTS,� BORROW PITS , ETC . - Mr. Church
moved that the committee be the local Councillor together
with Mr Ted Paquette and that they have authority to
call one person from the office if so desired and that
in the absence of Mr Paquette that Mr John Dorn have
authority to act in his stead and that any two of these
may act i the third member is not available. Carried
ROAD COMMITTEE - Mr Poole moved that the members be Mr.

Mr tip' Brown reported that he had received a
phone call from Mr- Charles Lendzion A/District Engineer
who had told him that the Department of Highways wishes
to crush approximately 60,000 cu yds. from our Municipal
Pit, northwest of Allingham with the said gravel to be
used for 1972 surfacing in this area if present plans
develop T1r Poole moved that Council agree that the
Department of Highways may arrange for the crushing of
60,000 cu yds from the M D. Pit with the decision
regarding the royalty to be charged tabled Carried
A delegation of Miss Mabel Mogan, Mr L. Brosseau,
Mr L Va selin and Mr A Arvdson met with Council
and refer ed to a petition which they had presented to
Council p eviously in respect to the Mountain View -

Mr Church moved that Mr S C Schmelke be named
as a memb r of that board for the ward lying west of
Highway Nc 21, also for a term of three years as re-
quired Carried
Mr Brown moved that Council take no action in
respect to the request for a change in the ward bound-
aries at this time Carried

Oil had capped the lines Mr Ferguson moved that a
reply be sent to Hudson's Bay Oil and Gas advising that
the pipe ends have been capped and that our men have
been instructed to take more care in the future

Mr Ralph Brown asked that a letter be written to
the District Engineer at Red Deer advising him that the
road widening east of Acme is on the north side only and
asking if more right -of -way is necessary, and also asking
the District Engineer to report regarding the need or
otherwisE of moving the A G.T. lines when the road is to
be rebuilt The Sec - Treasurer will attend to this

Mr Reg Campbell reported that the warning signs SCHRAM
at the Schram hill east of Trochu should be moved with WILLING
the west one to be placed further west and off the edge SIGNS
of the road so that it will not be hit with th4 snow-
plow Thiq is to be referred to Ted Paquette
Mr W Poole had brought in a newspaper clipping
referring o the use of 1080 Coyote Bait in the County
of Grande Prairie This was read for general interest
Mr. Beg Campbell commented in regard to the Mun-
icipal pr posal to open a road diversion in the NE -35-
32 -22 -4 tc give John Sich an inlet to lands north and
east of t ere He advised that Mr John Sich has now
bought thE lands of Joe Sich and might have access
across hiE own property to other lands He also stated
that the : E� of 35 is being sold and it may be possible
to deal with the new owner at the local level This will
be checked further from time to time
Mr hurch moved that Mr T A Ferguson represent
this Muni i.pal District on an Ambulance Committee when
