. Office - Mr Don Graham
s to some whose names I may have missed)
Mr. G. King gave a brief resume of the original agree-
ments with Three Hills & Trochu which are very similar, both
have actually expired Agreement with Linden has never been
finalize with signatures
Wages - present setup explained and discussed at length
Mr. Larr3 Davis stated that only 4 rural firemen have been
active at Three Hills - this added to the work of the Town
firemen, reducing the pay to the rural firemen worked to
• the detriment of the Town f -'_remen, he asked that the firemen
themsely s be allowed to divide up the total wage allottment
of $1500 ($500 to Town and $1,000 Rural now) and stated
that the rural men have agreed to this. Also stated that
ratio of fires was 7 rural to 3 Town this year.
(16 Town firemen) - Three Fills.
Tro hu firemen gave each a copy of all funds handled
through their local association In total they got $1800
for wages in 1970, raised another $590 in other ways,
and spent the money for firemen's benefits, community
projects etc. but did not take anything as actual wages
In 1971 a similar situation exists They voiced no complaints
M D councillors advised ahem that the firemen were not
expected to buy necessary t.quipment from their funds
Tro hu counci-I stated. they had no actual complaints
but wished time to (-ons -d(^ items brought up for discussion
and might ask for some fu)ther consideration Will send a
reply to G G King
• Bru e Ruby for Three Hills said he is new to the job
and had o special comments or requests
Tro hu and Three Hills each have 5 fire phones but felt
the number should be increased to 6, Linden has 5 plus 2 for
the ambu ante, ambulance funds pay for the 2
Recommended that M D pay for rental of 3 fire phones in
each of the Towns
Linden proposed agreement was reviewed and the payments
originally made were outlined It appeared that this should
be reviewed separately as it is quite different.
Linden firemen have not teceived any wages from anyone and
have been happy to carry on
