The Sec - Treasurer etiplained that the portable COM STATION unit was there on October 31/70 and thus subject to assessment and taxation for tl-e year 1971. Council had authority, if it so wished, to make a reduction in taxes, however, some thought should be given to the fact that other items m ght have been added during the -year which could not be axed Discussion followed Mr Ferguson moved that a -eply be sent stating that Council is not willing to gi e any reduction in the 1971 tax levy and with an expla ation given that additions are not taxable and other fac ors apply Carried Mr. Baue moved that a Circular from Alberta Municipal MUN.
