Poole moved approval of the Minutes of the Council meeting of September 13th /71 as per copy MINUTES which bad been mailed to each member. Carried Mr G G King, as Returning Officer, was asked to consider having the Advance' Poll on two separate ADVANCE dates. T e 1971 Municipal Inspector's Report was read t Council Mr Church moved that it be accepted INSPECTOR'S and placed on file to be read to the next Annual REPORT Mectin and that the Reeve acknowledge receipt of same Carried Brown moved that a letter be written to the De uty of Municipal Affairs asking why the Inspec or's Report says that the M D is in a fair financial condition when it was Council's opinioM that the condition was very good. Carried A letter from Mr Bruce Ramsay thanked the Council and Sec - Treasurer for the congratulations BRUCE sent to him upon his retirement Mr. Schmelke moved RAMSAY that this be accepted and filed Carried. A circular from the Department of Municipal Affair3 stated that any requests for extension of tim for any mutters must be approved by a TIME minist rial order before the original date for EXTENSIONS comple ion had arrived Mr Bauer moved that this be fil d as information. Mi G G King and T A Ferguson reported to Counci on negotiations which they had conducted LOOSMORE- with M Wllf Rosgen and Mr Ralph Loosmore in ROSGEN regard to the bridge location and road and other BRIDGE matter in NW- 6- SW7- 31 -23 -4 A sketch plan show- ing thE details of bridge locations, etc was shown to Council and discussed. Mr Church moved that Council approve of paying $125 00 to Mr John Lehman for moving fence for road t', construction in Division 6 as reported by Mr. Schmelke Carrie Mr Jeffery also reported to Council in regard Misc. to miscellaneous accounts more than six months old ACCOUNTS which have not been paid to this Municipal District REC . Ferguson reported that he had inspected a bin of Harold King's which had been damaged by Albert H KING Kimmel during snowplow operations The damage was not great but it does interfere with moving door panels. Mr Kimmel had stated to Mr Ferguson that he had gone in once with the motor grader and had hit a power pole but had not charged for that trip On his second time in this time with the Wagner, he had damaged the bin Mr Ferguson was asked to see Harol King and to discuss this further with particular refere ce to the account owing of $7 50 by Harold King. He also stated that the present grade -lines as set forth are best but could be lowered if absol- utely necessary Mr. Ralph Loosmore made the follow- ing su gestions and /or requests 1 T at the new bridge be set south a further 3C feet to accommodate turns to the bridge Ar alternate would be to move the approach n (rth for him to accommodate large cattleliners. 2 Bulldoze a cattle crossing for him after the existing bridge is removed. 3. Pitt one culvert across the approach road toward his farm 4. Do not raise the grade on his approach road opposite the corral gate but start approximately at the east end of the old road Mr Vincent and Mr Langen both stated that the original p oposal for a channel division at station 1 90 was considered best but that the new b idge is now proposed at station 1612-to accommodate the problems raised by the local farmers. The middle location was not considered satisfactory as it would have the same silting difficulty and erosion problems Loosmore thanked Council for the interview and he was told that he would be advised of the decisi ns made Mr Loosmore then left the meeting. Kent Knudsen area in Sec. 10- 34 -22 -4 - Some good gravel was located but not in sufficient quantity at any location to warrant bringing in a crusher 2 George Schroth farm NW- 3- 34 -23 -4 - No gravel of any kind located there. 3 William Hill farm NW- 16- 32 -23 -4 - The gravel i somewhat sandy but the top 42 to 5 feet s ould make good road gravel and would save c nsiderable expense for that immediate area.
