A regular meeting of the Council of the Municipal
District of Kneehill W48 was held at the Municipal
office in Three Hills on Thursday, July 29/71, commenc-
ing at 9 00 A M

Mr Ted Paquette, Public Works Superintendent, T PAQUETTE

Letter of July 22/71 from the Town of Trochu stated TROCHU
that they did not accept the offer of a $500 00 grant NUISANCE GROUND
from this M D for use of the Trochu nuisance ground
and that it would, therefore, be closed to rural people.

Letter of July 23/71 from the Provincial Dept. of DEPT.OF L. & F.
Lands and Forests stated they have agreed to provide a PARK EXPENSES
sum of $500.00 to assist in regard to park expenses
this year, Application had been made for full amount
of $2,000 00 and G King advised Council he is endeavor-
ing to co tact the Minister for further information.
Mr. Poole moved that this be accepted and filed Carried
Mr Ferguson moved that Mr Cliff Collins be paid C. COLLINS -
$25 00 as full settlement for truck damage as per SETTLEMENT OF
Council's previous offer to him,an.d which Mr Collins ✓ TRUCK DAMAGE

Council was advised that the road committee has ROAD IN SW CORNER
inspected the north -south road in the SW corner of 15- 34 -25 -4
15-34-25-4 and has met there with a representative of
the Bridge Branch and later with Water Resources. It
is agreed that the road be diverted to the east and
Water Res urces will pay for the necessary land and the
legal sur ey work. This is in connection with area to

report be accepted and the work proceeded with. Carried.

The Road Committee reported that it is not practical
to supply a new approach to the lot owned by Thomas H
Rear near the north side of Wimborne. He presently T.H. REAR
travels through privately owned land and there has been APPROACH
no actual problem concerning this Mr Ferguson moved
that this be tabled. Carried.

Mr Pole reported that the shut -off valve at the SWALWELL DAM
Swalwell Dam should be closed Mr Paquette agreed to SHUT -OFF VALVE

Mr Pole moved that the Road Committee investigate

was read and it was noted that the owner stated

Mr O'Callaghan is presently in Manitoba but it was

3 Mr Jim Sailer reported regarding dirt having
washe in on the west side of section 30 -34 -21 4
and it is now almost impossible for him to get to
pasture land to the north of that. It was agreed
that the Road Committee check this
4 Mr R nald Holmes asked that Council raise the
grade in his driveway in the NW- 21- 34 -23 -4• The
water in the slough adjacent to that driveway is
much higher this year and at least part of the
blame may be placed with the Municipal District
in regard to road construction. Mr. Holmes alto
stated that a dam in the area may have also con-
tributed to the problem Mr Poole moved that the
Road Committee check tris matter and also refer it
to Water Resources for investigation and report.
