Carried I4r G G King advised Council that he had phoned RESOURCE ROAD the Prov racial Dept. of ,Highways and had been advised GRANT that a R source Road G,-:-ant is available for this M D, for its application to light coat surface on the Taylor Siding r ad Mr Schmelko moved that this 1= 1formation L. be accep ed Carried The- report of the 1971 Road Tour wa.s then reviewed 1971 in- d�.ta - a "nd merao•s werc-' made in - r-cgard -to the" 'va`r'ious ROAD TOUR proposals so that these could be studied later in the 1 meeting The following items received special note. Item 13 of the report - Mr Brown moved that the Bridge Branch be asked to CULVERT supply r,_ ulrezt in 1971 or 1972 for the location ✓ W/SW- 21 -29 -26 W/311- 23- - 2-9- ?u-l�. Carried Item 72 of the report - NEW Mr F,- r.guson moved that the Bridge Branch be asked BRIDGE to consider a ne-e brid.gc- fo. W- 9= 31 -22 -4 (Cream W- 9- 31 -122 -4 1 Cou eo) and that the District Engineer be asked to take profiles in regard to having the •-yew bridge and road on the orgina_1 load allowance Carried FORM 149-P SPECIAL UNICIYL SViiLIE- - - -S'6e Page 2 i d r • 0 s FORM 149—P SPECIAL M I I PLI It I Thursday those it( SPECIAL COUNCIL MEETING MAY 4, 1971 Page 2 as agreed that the Road Committee meat this ROAD COMMITTEE commencing at 9 00 A M , for inspection of INSPECTION r.s which have been referred to it Item $9 of Road Tuur - The Secretary- Treasurer was asked to check with ROAD TOUR - #$9 the Bridge Branch in regard to having new wings con tructed for the bridge southeast of Sharples v (Ap leyard's) Mr. Paquette reported there had been a drainage DRAINAGE problem at the South of 28- 34 -23 -4 (Holmes) and he had S- 28- 34 -23 -4 hired Al Atkinson to pump water at a total cost of $4.00 pc hour including the pump, labor, fuel, etc Mr G A Lemay advised that he had authorized Mr Rona d Holmes to hire the pump of Ronald Holmes to pump watlr from the driveway at a total price of $2.50 per hourl- Mr Holmes to donate the work and supply the fuel'. Mr G King advised Council that the Water Resource Branch has been asked to give this Municipal District a report regarding drainage in that area Mr. Lemay reported there is some problem in BUS ROUTE - respcct bo a bus route near the farm of Arthur Mathias EAST OF HUXLEY east of iuxley. It was agrecid that Mr Walter Anderson, school b and chairman, be contacted for details. Mr Paquette advised that he and Sandy Sommerville VIBRATORY had beon to Rid Deer yesterday to inspect some vibratory PACKERS packers which are being offered for sale by auction today On? is 48 inch diameter by 60 inch length and another is 60 inch diameter by 72 inch length Both are equ'pn -d with diesel motors He also referred to other packers that are being advertised in Calgary and Edmonton at prices of $3000 to almost $8,000 Considerable discussion followed Mr Schm�lko moved that Mr Ted Paquette be authorized to purchase a vibrat -ly packer at the sale in Red Deer this afternoon with th price not to exceed $4,000 Carried Bref discussion took: place in regard to a gravel GRAVEL checker ' to take the place of Elmer Bauer who is now CHECKER operati g the motor grader in Division 4.
