Mr T A Fergusnn moved the approval if the minutes MINUTES
of the mee ing of March 15/71 as per copy which had been L, APPROVED
sent to ea h Councillor. Carried.
Mr Arnold Boese of Linden Contractors then met LINDEN CONTR
with Counc 1 Mr T. A. Ferguson moved that Council
agree to let Linden Contractors move to the M. D. of
Starland No 47 for approximately one and one -half
months. Carried
Mr A�nold Boese thin left the meeting at 9 25 A.M.
Mr R W. Brown reported that any anticipated ASSESSMENTS
changes regarding the powerline and pipeline assessments
by the government are now going to be dropped. He also
discussed Bill #28 briefly stating that the Urban people BILL # 28
are going to the Legislature on April 1/71 and the Rural
people will decide if they will march with them at the
meeting on March 31171 Mr. C W Poole moved to accept

The 1971 Preliminary Regional Plan from the Calgary C R P C
Regional Planning Commission was then referred to, along
with the re ular minutes of the Feb. 5/71 meeting and
the Jan 2971 meeting and the subdivision applications
approved by the Director, noting that one was approved
from the M D of Kneehill on behalf of L. Demers on
the SE-A-34-25-4. Mr. G. A Lemay moved these be
accepted and filed Carried
A letter was then read from the Traffic Planning PERMIT -AUTO BODY
Engineer of the Dept of Highways to Mr Albert Peterson SHOP
regarding the proposed development of a auto body shop
on the SIN-4-33-24-4, stating that the Dept of Highways
had issued a permit under Highway Control Regulations
authorizing the above noted developmen.. Mr. T. A.

ance in 1971 stating that they would like to offer their

Mr C W Poole moved that the decision regarding ROAD BANS
the road bans be left to the Road Committee. All bans
are to be 5% and we are to notify the Inspection

and Mr. Fra k Hoppins Mr J C Jeffery was also

Mr. C JW Poole moved the adoption of the minutes MINUTES ADOPTED
of the meet ng of January 25/71. Carried.

Mr Dar Peters reported that he and Mr C W Poole WARBLE CONTROL
made a moti n at the Regional Agricultural Service Board
conference xegarding the adoption of Warble Control

General discussion was then held concerning the R W HALLOS
land owned ly Mr R W Hall with Mr. Brown suggesting LAND

General discussion was then held concerning the DISEASE -RED NOSE
disease "Re Nose47 which was brought up by Larry Edwards
at the Annual Meeting Mr Peters stated that he had
talked with Dr Stone and Dr Stone felt that we should
write a letter to Dr. J G O'Donoghur or Dr E.E. Ballantyne
Mr. Peters then read a letter from the Dept of Agriculture
describing the disease and the different symptoms of it
and where it affects the animal. Mr T A Ferguson
moved that this M D send a resolution either to
Dr OQDonog ue or Dr. Ballantyne Carried
Mr A H Church moved that the Service Board start WARBLE CONTROL
promotional work towards establishing a Warble Control

January 25th with brief reports of meetings attended

attended t e Provincial E.1 0 Conference in Calgary and found

February 16th - our silage storage and feeding systems
Field Day was held in the Swalwell, Linden, Acme area with
over 100 p rons in attendance " "any favorable comments were
received
On 14arch 4th, Dan Peters and I attended the Unifarm
Pollution eminar at the Riveara Hotel in Edmonton There were
many qualified speakers who presented a very interesting day
on Pollution The theme was "Agriculture, Cause or Victim"
Both Dan & I were happy to attend this seminar as it fits .:_right
in with our everyday work
Je must all realize that each and every one of us can be
polluters, but if we exercise care, we can get the fob of pra.ducing
food of th best quality, at reasonable prices done without
causing toT much pollution.

attended by Councillors and Board members from most parts of the
Province Naybe the conference might have tried to cover too much
ground without enough t.udience participation There were a large
number of r solutions this year with insufficient time
The 1080 Pait which was placed on the Ind- 14- 29 -26 -4 at the
request of R E Wallace (renter), was moved on to the SW- 23 -29 -26 4
due to a disagreement by Hr A.C. Cormode, the actual owner of the
h'1 -14. Other baits were inspected and baits in the Huxley area were
well eaten
