Brown " 3 (Reeve) Mr A W Bauer " 4 (as noted) Mr T A Ferguson " 5 that we had received $53,795 22 and had disburse - Mr. S C Schmelke " 6 leaving Mr G. A. Lemay " 7 (as noted) The secretary then read the regulations from the OVERTIME Alberta Labour Act, Section 4, which states that HOURS "Employers shall pay employees wages not less than one and one-half times the ordinary wages paid such employees for all hours worked in excess of (a) 12 hours in a day, or (b) 1242 hours in a month whichever is the greater The secretary advised that he had been mistaken on his interpretation of this Act and it had been clarified by the foard of Industrial Relations, stating that any hours o er 12 hours a day are also overtime hours and are to be p id at the rate of one and one -half times The Council agreed that the secretary should adjust the pay of the dIersons involved, in the next pay period. DAU was also present as noted through out the meeting Mr. W. Poole moved the adoption of the minutes MINUTES of the J ,C n 25/71 meeting ADOPTED The secretary then read the monthly statement stating that we had received $53,795 22 and had disburse - ments of $6,247 77 for the month of January, 1971, MONTHLY leaving a bank balance of $65,996.30. Mr S C Schmelke STATEMENT moved that this financial statement be accepted Carried A letter was then read from the Alberta Emergency Measures Organization regarding the Annual Rescue E.M.O Competition stating that they had changed the date of the competition to Saturday, Jung 26, 1971. The secretary was advised to give this letter to Gordon Park The secretary then read a brochure from the COMMUNITY ` Alberta Division, Community Planning Association of PLANNING Canada regarding the seminar "Urbanization Inevitable" SEMINAR on Wednesday, February 24/71 at the Assinaboia Hotel, Medicine Hat, Alta Mr. T. A.
