The Secretary-Treasurer may attend all meetings to record a review of the discussion and recommendations, etc. which are made. F. Special Ca egory - Council may set a special rate of pay for any emp oyee not clearly within one of the categories as outlined ab ve. Any employe who temporarily works more than two weeks in any calendar year 'n a category in which the rate of pay is higher than his usual rate, shall be entitled to the higher rate for the time in ex ess o£ the first two weeks If the employee later returns o his former class of work the higher rate continues for two weeks nd then the regular rate for his class of work again applies There will be no hold back; payment will be made in full by the 5th of the succeeding month according to the paysheet, with any required a 3ustment to be made at the end of the following month Available for work. - To be entitled to the guaranteed gross monthly rate o $350 00, the employee must have worked, or been available for work, the total number of regular working days LESS one day in that month. OF 1KITEEHILL # 48 Clause 8 - WO]kKME1193 COMPENSATION a Each employee shall be paid regular ,rages for 8 hour days for period not to exceed two weeks if he suffers an injury while at war;; under which he qualifies for Workmen's Compensation benefits Any payment from the Jorkrien9s Compensation Eoard in respect to the wages during that period will be claimed by the 1,4unicipal District b After the first two weeks, the employee will be entitlec:t< to payment direct frcm the Workmen9s Compensation Board of that portion of his wages which it will pay, but will not receive further wage :payment from the 1iunacapal District until he returns to work C. Time when a person is laid off or on leave of absence does not count The following three examples illustrate this. (A) Started April 1/70 and has worked continually since then Reply: lst yr completed Apr 1/71 (Not calendar year) (B) Started April 1/70 - worked to Oct. 31/70 (6 months), laid off for the winter, returned to work Apr. 1/71 Reply, lst yr will be completed on Oct 31/71. (C) Similar to above but took leave of absence for the winter, same would apply 2 Notice of lay -off - Duplicate forms will be prepared and notices of lay -off will be an writing 3.
