Dau of the Three Hills School Division D. DAU was als present for this meeting. Mr Poole referred to the minutes of the meeting MINUTES of No 9/70, Page 6, re the shop roof and stated CORRECTED that hi comments should have read "a good job appeared to have been done" instead of "a good job was done" Mr Chu ch moved approval of the minutes of Nov 9/70 with th correction on Page 6 as suggested abode by Mr. Poo e Carried So e discussion took place in regard to the LINDEN CONT QS advance paid to Linden Contractors for gravel crushing. ADVANCE It was acted that the amount of the advance was actually earned by them within a few days of the meeting Council was advised that the Michelin tires will LOADER TIRES be installed on the new rubber -tired loader at the factory and delivered as part of the unit. Mr Poole moved a vote of congratulations to A A M D PRS Mr R W. Brown upon his re- election as President of the Al erta Association of Municipal Districts and R W. Me Council meeting adjourned from 12 00 noon to LUNCH 1 00 P M `'' Mr Doug Hazelton of Linden Contractors met with GRAVEL Council He stated they had been working slightly over CRUSHING two weeks at Garson °s and now have approximately 16,80C cu yds crushed He asked if Council might want the bull crusher used at the north west corner of the M gli pit but was advised that Council did not consi er this necessary and would need the few rocks that ould be kicked off if the regular crusher is used He asked what location they would be expected to move to next and was advised that this would be decided by Council at its meeting on Dec. 2/70. M All Councillors were present with the exception of Mr G orges Lema y. Also present were Mr D. Dau, Mr. D P ters, Mr. Gordon Park and Mr F Hoppins with G G Ki g and J, C Jeffery recording the minutes. C Poole moved the adoption of the Sept. 30/70 minutes s had been mailed to each Councillor and member o the Board Carried Mr Gordon Park then reviewed his progress since our last meeting (copy attached) and Mr F Hoppins moved th adoption of his report Carried. Mr D Peters then gave details involving the Farm Man gement Course (summary sheet attached) Discussi n of the course then followed with Mr A. W Bauer mo ing the adoption of Mr Peters? report. Carried It was also noted that eight persons had applied or the course to date The minutes from the meeting of the Kneehill Extensio Council were then discussed (Copy attached) Mr A. D OF KNEEHILL ITo 48 NOVEMBER 23,1970 I attended the Fall Regional k,Ieeting of the Department of Agricultural in Calgary October lot and 2nd, to co- ordinate and plan winter programs in the T;egion. Have built approximately 60 frames for M.D. Certificates to date, mainly being done in my own time.. the finishing has been done Iy Lorne Boese and J.Hart J Hart has now been Xaid off for the winter months ttended and assisted with the 4H Achievement Day for the 41H Crops Club at Trochu assisted with 4 H awards night at Three =Tills for the District ave sprayed about 550 head of cattle for lice and warbl s on 7 farms. e have had about a 25% return on the warble and water surve which we sent out to all farmers Most are in favor of tr ating the2-r cattle and are doing so using pour on treat ent. e have had some very favorable comments on our water curve to date. set up a ;Hump hack on the Tolman Campsite well, and pumpe for approximately 4 days and got very clear water, though the analysis is still somewhat questionable I attended the Executive meeting of the Alberta Horticultural f_ssociation in Cal Easy on November 2nd The livestock scale has been used on 7 farms this Fall to d to There are a few more i2arziers on R.O.P. this year We a e doing most of the weighing from this office, rather than have someone come out frcm the Department. now The Farm iianagement Programsponsored by Manpower is lated for January 4th to run for 12 weeks cordon.L..Par , 4g.Fieldman
