Councillors FORM 149-P SPECIAL k MUNICIPAL SUPPLIES COUNCIL MEETING October 13, 1970 Page 1 The re ular meeting of the Council of the M. D. of Kneehill # 8 was held in the Municipal Office, Three Hills on Tu sday, Oct 13/70 commencing at 9 00 A. M. Councillors pr sent for this meeting were Mr A H Church Div. 1 Mr C W Poole 2 Mr R. 1, Brown 3 (Reeve) Mr. A W Bauer 4 Mr T A Ferguson 5 (Forenoon only) Mr S C Schmelke 6 Mr Ge rges Lemay 7 Mr. G G King, Sec -Treas , was present and recorded the minutes except as otherwise noted. Mr. D. Dau, of the Three Hills School Division, was also preseni throughout the meeting. Mr Barer moved adoption of the minutes of the COkUWCT1OiJS Council meeting of Sept 30/70 subject to the following 14INUTES corrections' SEPT 30/70 (1) On Page 3 - School Sites - a third location t, should be added, namely, the old Webb School site (2) On Page 9 - Grainger Lots - the last part of the second sentence should read "for consolidation with Pt. S.E 20- 29 -24 -4 Motion carried APPROVAL Mr Ba er moved approval of the minutes of the MINUTES combined me ting of Council and Agricultural Service Board ,. as held on ept 30/70 Carried The fi ancial statement for the month ending Sept 30/70 was present Ed and discussed as per copy with these minutes. This showed a net balance at the end of the month of iFIN.ST. $8,920 23 b t with loans outstanding of $420,000 00 Mr Fergusor moved adoption of the monthly statement Carried Mr Po le moved first reading to By -Law # 653, this BY -LAW being a By- aw to sell to Archie Allan Becker of R R. #1, #653 Acme, certain lots in the hamlet of Grainger for a total Grainger C> of $1��0- ash Carried unan Lots Mr Church moved second reading to this By -Law Carried una . Mr. ScImelke moved third reading to this By -Law Carried una Letter of the Provincial Planning Board advised it PROV is holding e hearing at Acme on Wednesday, Oct. 14/70, PL.BD. In regard tc the appeal of Gary H Gibson in respect to APPEAL the Et 32-3C-26-4 Mr Lemay moved that Council authorize GIBSON a letter being submitted to the Board advising that Council believes th t a description of the property should be suitable an that a legal survey should not be needed. Carried. W Bauer C w and Mr G G King contact Mr C W Davidson in respect DAVIDSON to his pr posed garagein Grantville and that the committee - Garage have power to act Carried Mr. Ferguson moved that Council advise the Licensing CALVARY Branch of the Dept of Industry and Tourism that it has HISSION no objections to the proposed sale of books by Calvary IV- Fellowshiy Mission at its location dust north of Three Hills. Carried Mr Ioug Hazelton of Linden Contractors met with D HAZELTON Council a d stated they are ready to move into this District next weekend if road conditions permit He also stated that they could get the jaw crusher next Monday or Tuesda3 but had not inquired as to whether or not it would be available a week later It would likely be available until the end of November and the company required a one -month rental guarantee. Council discussed work to bE done by Linden Contractors The previous motion which directed them to first work at the Vasselin Pit was r ferred to It was agreed that no change be made in t e previous decision except the delay in the starting time. CAMROSE Jeffery bE delegated to attend the Secretary - Treasurer's MEETING meeting tc be held at Camrose on October 19/70 Carried Mr emay moved that the proceedings, etc of the FIRE Fire Chie s" meeting and the Fire Association's meeting - CHIEF's be filed Carried MEETING Mr Gordon Park then met with Council A letter of Oct 6/70 from the Drumheller Health Unit was read DRUM with regard to the Tolman Bridge well and the water HEALTH analysis and related matters. Mr. Gordon Park added UNIT comments in regard to the well and gave details of the re Tolman depth of the well, etc as per the account of Mr. Park F. T. Gre n in November of 10.66 He suggested if the water was pumped heavily for a time, it might help to clear it Mr Ferguson moved that a sign be put up at i the Tolmar well advising that the water is not suitable for drinking and that Mr Gordon Park be authorized to pump the Tsell heavily and to have a retest made and that he then r port back to Council concerning this Carried J See ''age 3 FORM 149-P SPECIAL U ICI L U FLI COUNCIL MEETING Page 3 Oct 13, 1970 Mr. B J O'Dornan of Hudson Bay Oil & Gas met with HUDSON Council He advised that his Company wishes to drill a BAY Gt:S well on the portion of SW 3- 30 -21 -4 containing 9 30 acres & OIL which is owned by this Municipal District.
