for 1970 Mr G King advised Council that the report had REPORT

by Council with one addition of an area that might be under

Council was advised that Mr. Bob Deans Jr of Three CEMETERY
Hills had dontacted Mr G G King and Mr. Gordon Park in MTCE
regard to id possible contract for doing work at various
cemeteries in the Municipal District Mr Deans had stated
that he WOILld make a written proposal for Council to con -
si-der but his had not been received at the present time.
General di cussion followed. Mr. Gordon Park and Mr Tom
Ferguson a so advised that they had authorized Mike Riley
to clean u various old dirt piles at the Sarcee Butte
Cemetery a a price of $5 00 each, with the estimated
total cost to be about $45.00. Mr Park also suggested LOADER
that the M D could use a small loader and perhaps attend
to this work through the Agricultural Service Board better
than in the past. It was agreed that this item be reviewed
with the 1 171 Capital works expenditures

and penalty on $1000 00 of the assessment for the year
1969, and that the 1970 levy of $66 10 be cancelled when
payment of the other amount is received and that the
balance of the taxes owing be charged to Mr Svend Nielsen

Council was advised that Pair Alec Williams has been classed ALEX
and paid as a Heavy I.1achine operator as that was his WILLIAMS
former job but due to health reasons, he has been on one
of the light packers Councils guidance was asked as to
the future rate Mr Paquette stated that Mr Williams
most recen medical showed that he has improved and that
he expects to be operating one of the Caterpillar tractors soon

Mr. Paquette reported in regard to the Public Works
program a d advised that all light -coat surfacing has been
inished; the 2 lailes of grading on the f21 7imborne road
will be d ne within a few days and the crew will next be
moving, to the Gus Neu:ian job near Wimborne They also
plan to r pair the grade at the coulee south of Art Bauer ?s
and then instal the Kostrosky culvert and then do the road
south west of Acme, adjacent to the proposed hog farm
He also stated they had a break clown with the #R -8 Euclid
last week but it has been repaired.
Mr Paquette also referred to the work on the Dry
Canyon hill, which is being done together with the L I D
and stated the relocating, of the road in the L I D
portion has added considerably to the cost Mr. Poole
gave certain information concerning this, that he had
received from the District engineer. Ijr, FergUson moved

to gravel put on roads in various Divisions this year,
not incl ing the light -coat surfacing; GRAVEL

ll - 8,572 cu yds , of which 4,000 cu. yds were
on new grades
Division 12 - 3,360 cu yds
Division 3 - 4, 494 cam.. yds
Division 4 - 5,264 cu yds
Division 5 - 7,836 cu. yds , of which 1,900 cu yds. was
on a new grade.
Division 16 - 2,762 cu. yds
Division17 - 7,664 cu yds
Secretary-Treasurer advised Council that Linden LINDEN
