Le ay Div 7 (after 9:20 A M ) Mr. G G King, Secretary - Treasurer was present and recorded the minutes. Mr. Bauer moved approval of the minutes of the Council MINUTES meeting of March 9, 1970 as per copy which had been mailed to each member. Carried. Mr. Poole m ved approval of the Council minutes of March 16th /70 as per copy which had been mailed to each member, Carried. Mr. Poole r ferred to the minutes of the Annual Meeting and mention d that the motion recorded as having been made by Mr. Al Barnvsvas actually-made by Mr Jack Barng ;. Mr. G G Ki g stated he would note this as a correction. Letter front the Hon. G. Taylor was read in respect to SANITARY qualifications and other matters pertaining to sanitary WCINEERS engineers. Lynch thanked Council and then left the meeting. DEBENTURE Mr. Schmelkie moved that this be accepted and filed. Carried. Councillor Peo Lemay came into the meeting during the discussion pf the minutes of the Three Dills School Division meetings of March 11th and 17th, 1970. fi few items of thane minutes werle discussed briefly by Council and Mr. Ferguson gave some brief information concerning same. Frank Hoppins and fir Elmer Meding From Huxley Fish and Game - Mr. R. Kennedy, Mr Albert Heer, and Mr. Allan Winther From Trochu Chamber of Co*nrerce - Mr M Steinbach Page 2 ,, A S BD DELEGATION HUXLEY PARK Mr Hoppins explained that the delegation wishes Councills support for a Provincial Park in the general area of Sections 19 & 30 of 4 21 4 - Th:!_s being east of Huxley at the Red Deer River He referred to dinosaur remains and also a buffalo Jump as special tourist attraction but stressed the interest of the local residents in this project He wished Councils support for some work on the Hill down to the river and also in making a request to the Government to have this area established as a Provincial Park Copy of his presentation was supplied and is on file Considerable discussion followed with the Peeve explaining that former Park Grants had been set u-3 in 4 areas and the one at the Tolman Park was fairly close to this 1_: .. _, al Mr Hugh Mclean as owner of some of the land concerned stated he would co-operate to the fullest and was willing to sell or lease at a token payment and would change his fence as necessary to provide for the road Per Geo. June 17/70 There shoo d be a local meeting prior to that time but the date is no known. C W Po le and G G King reported on the Recreation ACME REC Meeting whi h they had attended at 1.cu4 on March 16th /70 MIEETING Representat ves from the Village of Carbon and its recreation board and t e Village of Acme and its recreation board had met with Mr Gerald Bruce for a discussion on the feasibility of having a joint recreation director. EVANS decision regarding the deal of R D -Evans as it is considered ithin the scope of the provisions of the Act. The breakdown of the amounts for the Three Hills School EQUAL v. Division and various Hospital Districts was also given.
