A regular m eting of Council of the P.D. of Kneehill
No. 48 was aeld at the Municipal Office, Three Hills
on Monday, 4arch 23, 1970 commencing at 9 00 A M

recorded the minutes.
Mr. Bauer moved approval of the minutes of the Council MINUTES
meeting of March 9, 1970 as per copy which had been mailed
to each member. Carried.
Mr. Poole m ved approval of the Council minutes of March 16th /70
as per copy which had been mailed to each member, Carried.
Mr. Poole r ferred to the minutes of the Annual Meeting
and mention d that the motion recorded as having been
made by Mr. Al Barnvsvas actually-made by Mr Jack Barng ;.
Mr. G G Ki g stated he would note this as a correction.
Letter front the Hon. G. Taylor was read in respect to SANITARY
qualifications and other matters pertaining to sanitary WCINEERS

Councillor Peo Lemay came into the meeting during the
discussion pf the minutes of the Three Dills School Division
meetings of March 11th and 17th, 1970. fi few items of thane
minutes werle discussed briefly by Council and Mr. Ferguson
gave some brief information concerning same. Mr. Ferguson
then moved the said minutes be filed. Carried

The Council 'then met together with members of the A S B
in joint meeting from 9.30 A M until 11.25 A.M Separate
minutes are recorded of that portion of the meeting

DELEGATION
HUXLEY PARK
Mr Hoppins explained that the delegation wishes Councills
support for a Provincial Park in the general area of Sections
19 & 30 of 4 21 4 - Th:!_s being east of Huxley at the Red
Deer River He referred to dinosaur remains and also a
buffalo Jump as special tourist attraction but stressed the
interest of the local residents in this project He wished
Councils support for some work on the Hill down to the
river and also in making a request to the Government to
have this area established as a Provincial Park Copy
of his presentation was supplied and is on file Considerable
discussion followed with the Peeve explaining that former
Park Grants had been set u-3 in 4 areas and the one at the
Tolman Park was fairly close to this 1_: .. _, al Mr Hugh
Mclean as owner of some of the land concerned stated he
would co-operate to the fullest and was willing to sell
or lease at a token payment and would change his fence
as necessary to provide for the road Per Geo. Lemay
moved that he Council m=ike a request to the Provincial
Government hat they invc.tigate the proposal as outlined
by the dele a.tion with the a.m of making the location a
Provincial fark and that this request be directed to Mr.

The delegation thanked Council and left the meeting at
noon.

Mr Cliff Poole reported that John Esau expects to return to
work March 30th on the Motor Grader in Div 2 He is now J ESAU
feeling quite well and hopes that his health will allow him
to continue.
Mr. Brown r ferred to grading work to be done on the Acme
West Road aid whether or not engineering services would be
required an� also whether a additional right of way to 99
or 100 footlis needed He also suggested that it might be
widened on he south side only The Sec- Treas. is to look
up information in regard to requirements for a Natural Resource

of having a joint recreation director. No final decision

decision regarding the deal of R D -Evans as it is
considered ithin the scope of the provisions of the Act.

Notice from the I.ssessment Equalization Board advised that
the equalized assessment of this M.D. for 1970 is $20,460,310.
The breakdown of the amounts for the Three Hills School EQUAL v.
Division and various Hospital Districts was also given. ASSESS
Moved by C Poole that this be accepted and filed Carried
The Sec -Tre s asked Councilts approval for the office SUMMER
staff to go on surzmer working hours during the same period OFFICE
of time as he changes made by Provincial Government offices. HOURS
This would nean moving the opening time and the closing
time each a ead a hour New hours are to be from 8 00 A !4
until 4 30 M during the summer Mr. Poole moved that
this be acc pted by Council and so advertised. Carried
