C T1 Poole to k charge of the meeting Mr Don au of the Three Hills School Div was present for a portion of this meeting Mr Ferg son moved that the minutes of the meeting of February g h, 1970 be approved as per copy mailed to each Councillor with the correction on page 2 to include Mr A H Church and G G King as delegates to the Pounder Emulsion Seminar in Calgary. Motion carried A brief from the Fish and vlildlife Div. Dept of Lands and For sts was read in regard to leasing of road allowances and related matters Hr Bauer moved that a reply be sent outlining t:-.e ;procedure followed in this 144 in rot leasing road allowances and advise V that their re ommendations are not considered practical in this 14.D Carried Minutes f the Three Hills School Division meeting of Feb 11th, 1970 were briefly referred to Council and Mr. Mr T A Ferguson added some information particularly referring to a 5% w,,ge increase being granted to st ff members other than teachers and care - takers on a f at average Mr Ferguson moved that � the minutes b accepted and filed. Mr. Church no ed that this be accepted and filed and � that T. DINNER Mr. H M Alton, District Engineer and Mr Ray Gabert, DIST ENG Highway Insp ctor working with him at Red Deer then V1- met with Cou cil Letters were read from the Provincial Dept. of Highways in egard to the Special Contingency Road CONT GRANT Appropreatio and the Natural Resourse Road Grant for 1970. Mr Park stated he only had one quote for the new Massey Ferguson Tractor but certainly had no objection to asking others He stated the present machine is quite good but it about 10 years old. Considerable discussion took place as to whether other bids should be called for a tractor or whether one should Le bought. li_r. He drew particular attention to the propos d deletion of Sec 177 subsection C of the Municipal Gov rnment Act which gave Council considerable protection fr m damage claims where signs had been removed and he also brought attention to the fact that the Section dealing with Weather Modification is almost completely revised so asIto clarify same. The buyer wished to know if ther was any restriction by this M D The Sec- Treas. advised that j n his opinion there is no restriction as at present but had not had anyepportunity to check into details cone rning this. Pair Ferguson moved that Hr G G. King be named as Returning Officer for the voce on Bylaw No 630 regarding Weather Modification and that he have full authority to set polling places, engage deputy returning officers, polling clerks and carry out other necessary advertising and business. Carried Mr. Pool moved that this Meeting do now adjourn. Carried.
