A regular meeting of the Council of the M D of
Kneehill #48 as held in the municipal Office, Three
Hills on k4on ay, February 23, 1970 commencing at 9.00
The full wing councillors were in attendance

Mr Ferg son moved that the minutes of the meeting
of February g h, 1970 be approved as per copy mailed
to each Councillor with the correction on page 2 to
include Mr A H Church and G G King as delegates to
the Pounder Emulsion Seminar in Calgary. Motion carried

Lands and For sts was read in regard to leasing of road
allowances and related matters Hr Bauer moved that
a reply be sent outlining t:-.e ;procedure followed in

Minutes f the Three Hills School Division meeting
of Feb 11th, 1970 were briefly referred to Council
and Mr. Mr T A Ferguson added some information
particularly referring to a 5% w,,ge increase being
granted to st ff members other than teachers and care -
takers on a f at average Mr Ferguson moved that �
the minutes b accepted and filed. Carried.

Mr Geo Lemay arrived at the meeting at this time- -

Mr R 0, eglowitsch, Professional Engineer, met
Council in re rd to the new Company with which he is
associated an particularly referred to aerial work and
computer esti tes which he claims give an accuracy for
hills etc wit in one foot. Known target points must
first be marke on the ground He stated that a picture
of any hamlet ould be provided at an approx. cost of
$70.00 to $100 00 He further advised that he has 3
outstanding jo�s to be completed for this M D and they
will be done g4ite soon He requested further work if

Highways in egard to the Special Contingency Road CONT GRANT
Appropreatio and the Natural Resourse Road Grant
for 1970. N definite amounts are outlined Discussion

crew would be on holidays the last 3 weeks in March

with Hon Gordon Taylor sometime between March 2nd & 5th
or perhaps in Drumheller on February 28th for a discussion
of road grants, provincial highways in the area, etc.
Councillors will be notified as to the arrangements
Mr Alton referred to a meeting to be held in Linden
Thursday evening, Feb 26th at 7 30 P.M at which time
load limits etc are to be discussed It appeared that
Mr Brown, Mr Church and Mr Poole would be attending

Mr Gordon Park again met with Council and further A S BD
discussion took place regarding items tabled at the TRACTOR
noon adjournment. Mr Park stated he only had one
quote for the new Massey Ferguson Tractor but certainly
had no objection to asking others He stated the present
machine is quite good but it about 10 years old. Considerable
discussion took place as to whether other bids should
be called for a tractor or whether one should Le bought.

provisions of the Tax Recovery Act demand that parcels
with 1967 tax notifications be offered for sale prior
to April 1st, 1970 Those with 1968 tax notifications
could be offe ed prior to April 1st, 1971 Thus the date
of April 3rd, 1970 for Tax Sale as set by Council only
complies in p rt with the provisions of the statutes

Mr. Tom erguson asked the Sec -Treas to look up
certain infor4ation regarding the property of the
Three Hills S hool Division ad3acent to the house which
Tom Beagrie p4rchased in Swalwell.
Pair Ferguson moved that Hr G G. King be named as
Returning Officer for the voce on Bylaw No 630 regarding
Weather Modification and that he have full authority to
set polling places, engage deputy returning officers,
polling clerks and carry out other necessary advertising
and business. Carried
